East Ridge Fire Department firefighters had to cut a person out of a wrecked vehicle late Saturday morning on Belvoir Avenue.
According to a post on the Fire & Rescue Facebook page, Just after 11:00 am this morning, East Ridge Fire Rescue, East Ridge Police and Lifeguard EMS were dispatched to a single vehicle accident where a car crashed into a power pole. The driver was trapped in the car at the intersection of Wiley and Belvoir Avenues.
Hydraulic tools were used to free the patient. Lifeguard EMS transported the victim to a local hospital.
East Ridge Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident. Great job to Green Shift and all that were involved, said Fire Chief Mike Williams.
