July 15 Police Briefs

The following information was compiled from “pass along” reports courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department.

July 13 Day Shift

22-009921- 6200 blk of Ringgold Road- DUI Arrest-

Richard Williams was arrested and charged with DUI following a traffic stop at this location.

22-009925- 100 I-75 South- Unknown Trouble-

The caller advised a vehicle appeared stranded at this location. On scene police checked the area but the vehicle was not located.

22-009930- 1600 East 3rd Street- Warrant Service-

Christopher Gonzalez was arrested and transported on an East Ridge warrant.

22-009933- 600 block Marlboro Avenue- Mental Health Consumer-

The caller attempted to report a burglary at this address but while on the phone with dispatch he made some questionable statements. On scene police spoke to the caller and determined no burglary had occurred.

Night Shift

3375 Ringgold Road / Vandalism: 

Police responded to this location after an EPB employee advised someone had messed with the meters and electrical wires. On scene police observed multiple meters had been damaged along with electric wires that had been cut. The EPB employee stated he believed someone was attempting to obtain copper wire from the electrical station. A report is on file.

800 Donaldson Road / Traffic Stop:

Joshua Stover was taken into custody following a traffic stop at this location after being discovered to have an outstanding warrant out of General Sessions for Assault.

4020 Woodmont Dr / Suspicious Person: 

Officers were called to this location after two males were observed going door to door attempting to sell home security systems. The RP told police they thought it was weird due to the late hour. Police checked both individuals who were both law abiding citizens trying to make one more sale before the night was over. Both parties were advised it was best to start again tomorrow and released.

4214 Ringgold Rd / Arrest Warrant: 

Kaniya Wilson was served outstanding East Ridge warrants for simple assault, stalking, and driving without license. 22-009431

5400 block Marion Avenue / Traumatic Injury: 

A 17-year-old male was shooting mortar-type fireworks in the middle of the street when one struck him in the face, causing serious injuries. Fire and EMS arrived on scene and the juvenile was transported to the hospital. Fire investigators responded to the scene and collected evidence for further investigation.  22-009948

2304 Shollowford Village Drive / Arrest-Warrant: 

Dustin M. McWain, Sr. was arrested on a Forfeiture Capias warrant for Theft of Property / Shoplifting.  McWain, Sr. was transported.  22-009965

1410 Mack Smith Road / Disorder: 

An Uber driver was trespassed from the Budgetel Inn following a disorder.  22-009967
