Day Shift April 21: B Squad

26-003627 – 400 BLK Bluebird Circle – Citizen Assist – Officers responded to this address after the homeowner found an unexpected guest sitting on his front porch. On scene, officers contacted the party who believed he was visiting the home of his friend. While speaking, it appeared he was the victim of advanced aging and became confused when attempting to locate his friend’s residence, which was found to be a few houses further up the road. ERPD contacted the friend and he along with the reporting party made arrangement to transport he and his vehicle to the correct location.

26-003634- 1300 BLK Saint Thomas Street- Disorder – A man and his neighbor have been involved in an ongoing dispute regarding traversing across shared property. Police responded multiple times throughout the shift to mitigate the ongoing disagreements between the two.

Night Shift April 21: D Squad

26-003640- 6500 BLK Ringgold Road- SIA/ Arrest – Fort Oglethorpe Police informed ERPD that a recently entered stolen U-Haul van frequently visited the East Ridge area. After a search through the License Plate Reader system, it was discovered that the U-Haul had recently had an LPR hit in the parking lot of a hotel. Patrol set up surveillance around the vehicle and caught the suspect entering the U-Haul and attempting to drive off. He was placed under arrest for Possession of Stolen Property over $10,000 and Possession of drug paraphernalia. The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is also charging with the introduction of contraband into a Penal Institution.

26-003645- I-75 EB 185- Back Other Agency – An officer leaving his extra job drove up on an MVC with entrapment. Another officer responded to assist. The Chattanooga Police Department was on scene for traffic control. East Ridge assisted in diverting traffic off the interstate temporarily while Chattanooga Fire extricated the two patients from the vehicle.

26-003652 – 1200 BLK South Seminole Drive – Suspicious Vehicle – Police were dispatched after a resident reported seeing a suspicious vehicle parked at the church. A couple talking in their car together were cooperative with the police and agreed to leave the church parking lot.
