NOTE: It was a busy weekend in East Ridge. Multiple auto thefts were reported, and several cases were closed with arrests. !00% of these thefts involved keys being left inside the vehicle! Please remove your keys and lock your doors!
Day Shift July 31: B Squad
26-007234- 1000 BLK Hurst Street- Domestic Assault – Officers responded to the listed address after a male called when his wife showed up at his girlfriend’s house and assaulted him. The assault was caught on video. The wife was angry about divorce proceedings and was attempting to rip the registration off his vehicle when he walked out to see. She then pursued him and physically assaulted him multiple times. The woman had fled the area prior to police arrival. Warrants for domestic assault, false imprisonment, and interference with emergency call.
26-007237- 6700 BLK Ringgold Road- Suspicious Item – A concerned citizen reported a suspicious social media marketplace listing advertising what appeared to be sticks of dynamite in a display case at the listed address. Officers determined the items were decorative props made from wooden dowels wrapped in paper. The owner was not on scene. The proprietor was asked to more clearly label the display as props to avoid future confusion.
26-007238-900 BLK Spring Creek Road- Delayed Assault – Patrol spoke with a domestic assault victim in the emergency room after the incident was reported by staff. The victim did not wish to provide information regarding the suspect at the time but did explain she was punched in the head, stabbed with scissors, and her phone was broken by an ex-boyfriend she was trying to assist after his family reached out to her. She advised she felt safe and that she had bought a new phone and changed her number. She said she would call back if she decided to report the assault.
Night Shift July 31: D Squad
26-007236- 6900 BLK Glen Errol Way- Arrest – The resident reported that a known woman was on her back porch refusing to leave. Officers responded and located the interloper, who was found to have four active Hamilton County Session’s Court warrants for multiple counts of aggravated burglary and theft of property. She was taken into custody for the outstanding warrants and transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.
26-007243- 4200 BLK Spriggs Street-Narcotics/ Mental Health – A woman was found actively inhaling compressed dust cleaner and was in an altered mental state. Due to being arrested the previous day for the same behavior, she was taken into protective custody to have her evaluated. While in route to the hospital, the woman made statements suggesting self-harm and was transported for medical and psychiatric evaluation.
Day Shift August 1: B Squad
26-007270- 4000 BLK Ealy Road- Auto Theft – A party called in stating his 2016 Honda Accord was stolen from his home address after he arrived home at approximately 1:00 AM. He stated that there was an Apple AirTag located in the trunk which last located from the Prigmore/Spriggs area. While police were attempting to gather video footage from neighbors, the owner updated officers and stated it was pinging around the Everglades Boulevard area in Catoosa County. Police contacted the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office and asked for assistance in recovering the vehicle. Police located the stolen vehicle on Ota Kay Lane. The vehicle was towed to the East Ridge Police Department Impound Lot for fingerprint processing.
Night Shift August 1: D Squad
26-007297- 1900 BLK Prigmore – Collapse No Injury – ERPD and ERFD responded to the above address for a tree that fell through a house. Police evacuated all occupants, and ERFD assessed the damage. EPB responded and cut the power to the house.
26-007304- 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Robbery – A store employee reported three unknown suspects entered the store. The employee stated that two of the suspects jumped over the counter, one assaulting him while the second took cash from one of the registers. All three suspects fled the scene in an unknown car in an unknown direction of travel.
Day Shift August 2: B Squad
26-007321- 6200 BLK Ringgold Road- Traffic Stop/ Arrest – Following a traffic stop, a man was arrested on three outstanding Probation Capias warrants out of Hamilton County Sessions Court. He was transported to Hamilton County Jail.
26-007333- 5700 BLK Roper Street- Auto Theft – Police were called after the reporting party stated that his mother’s Honda Pilot, which was given to him, was stolen from his apartment complex. He was unsure whether he left the vehicle unlocked with the key inside. The vehicle is a 2017 black Honda Pilot bearing a Georgia tag.
Night Shift August 2: D Squad
26-007342-6700 BLK Jordan Run-Property – A caller reported that sometime between 07/30/26 and 08/02/26, someone vandalized two cars parked in her driveway.
Day Shift August 3: A Squad
26-007375 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Shoplifting – ERPD responded to a shoplifting report that occurred on July 24th. The suspect was identified and the business wished to press charges for the incident. Warrants for Theft of Property under $1000 will be issued.
26-007357- Hope Lane / State Line Road- Auto Theft Recovery – The caller stated he located his white Kia Optima that was stolen sometime during the night out of Catoosa County Georgia. He observed a male wearing a white/grey shirt and another male wearing a blue shirt in the back seat of a black Honda Pilot. Police located a juvenile standing near the vehicles. Another male wearing a white long sleeve shirt and black pants fled into the woods on foot. Officers observed a black Honda Pilot bearing a Tennessee registration plate and a White Kia Optima bearing a Georgia registration plate backed in at the end of the cul-de-sac. Police were later notified by dispatch the Black Honda Pilot was stolen out of East Ridge on (07/08/02/26 OCN#26-00733). Police searched the black Honda Pilot and found a Ruger revolver in the rear passenger door compartment. Police later located another juvenile off Everglades Boulevard in Georgia where he was detained. The juvenile consented to a search of his person, at which time police located a Black Honda Key fob in his right front pocket of his pants belonging to the black Honda Pilot. The second juvenile was then turned over to Catoosa County Sheriff Department to answer charges there. Warrants for this party will be sought through East Ridge Police at a later time.
East Ridge Police then searched the first juvenile at which time they located a Black Kia key fob in his front left pocket. Police placed the party into custody and charged him with the following, Possession of Stolen Property (theft over $1,000) TCA 39-14-105) and Underage Possession of a Firearm (TCA 39-17-1319). The first juvenile was transported to the East Ridge Police station then to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention center without incident. The black Honda pilot was removed from NCIC and returned to the owner, but the white Kia Optima was not yet entered into NCIC. It was returned to the rightful owner as well.
Night Shift August 3: C Squad
26-007391 – 6600 BLK Ringgold Road – Stolen Auto/Narcotics – Officers were alerted to an LPR hit on Ringgold Road for a stolen vehicle out of Catoosa County. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a stop, detaining three occupants. Following an investigation, all three suspects were taken into custody for various Theft/Narcotics charges. One suspect was found to have multiple warrants through sessions after originally providing a false name to Officers. The owner was notified and retrieved the vehicle.
