Day Shift December 31 : A Squad
25-013408 – 5700 BLK Roper Street- Burglary – Police spoke with the complainant who reported a burglary at his apartment on 12/30, around 1700 hours. He stated that several items were stolen, including a baby bottle containing money, four pairs of shoes, and a security camera. The total value of the stolen items is estimated at approximately $1,200. At this time, no suspects have been identified.
25-013415 – 5300 BLK Oakdale Avenue – Disorder – Officers responded to this address after two roommates at a care-giving facility got into a verbal altercation. Crisis responded to the scene for further assistance, and no police action was taken.
Night Shift December 31: C Squad
25-013427 – 700 BLK Summit Avenue– Domestic Disorder / Arrest – Police responded to a domestic disorder at this residence. The male resident stated he attempted to leave the apartment, but the woman had stopped him. She had initially blocked his exit from the residence, then jumped in the back of his truck to prevent his departure. She was taken into custody, charged with False Imprisonment, and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
25-013431 – 900 BLK South Seminole Drive– Disorder – Police Officers responded to the report of a domestic disorder at the apartments. A neighbor reported yelling and loud noises from the apartment. On scene, Police observed a knife with blood on the handle and several drops of blood around the door of the apartment. Due to exigent circumstances, Fire Department personnel breached the door and Police entered the residence. Police found additional blood in the apartment, along with a broken mirror and other signs of a struggle. Police located a woman inside the residence with a cut on her thumb. She stated there was no disorder and refused to cooperate with law enforcement. Police also found that a male had ran out of the residence during the disorder but he did not appear to have any serious injuries.
26-000002 – 900 BLK S Seminole Drive, Apt 37 – Assist Other Agency / Arrest – While investigating the disorder, ERPD determined that the female subject had two arrest warrants through the Hamilton County Sessions Court. Police informed her of the warrants, and she immediately resisted the arrest. A bag of marijuana was also found in the apartment in plain view. The party was arrested and charged with Resisting Arrest and Possession of a Controlled Substance. She continued to resist law enforcement through her transport and booking at the Hamilton County Jail.
26-000004 – 5400 BLK Haisten Court – Shots Fired / Property Damage – ERPD responded to the report of a residence being struck by gunfire. On scene, Police observed several bullet holes in the duplex homes located on Haisten Court. The source of gunfire was unknown but may have come from Matthews Drive or McBrien Road. On-call CID was notified, and a canvas of the area was conducted. Two of the damaged residences were unoccupied and there were no reported injuries for the incident. Property damage included holes in the interior and exterior walls along with holes in the furniture.
26-000006 – 4000 Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Police observed a blue van failing to maintain lane while traveling eastbound on Ringgold Road. An officer stopped the vehicle and conducted a roadside investigation. At that time, the driver was identified and found to be intoxicated. The suspect was taken into custody, charged with Driving Under the Influence and transported to Hamilton County Jail.
Day Shift January 1: A Squad
26-000027 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road Apartment- Check Wellbeing – An anonymous caller asked officers to check on a child screaming inside of an apartment. A father answered the door and explained that the child had an intellectual disability and was simply upset. All parties appeared okay.
Night Shift January 1: C Squad
25-013304 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service – While in custody at the Hamilton County Jail, a man was served with an arrest warrant through the City of East Ridge. The charge on the warrant was Theft of Property (Motor Vehicle). Earlier in the evening, he was arrested by the Chattanooga Police Department on related charges.
26-000031 – 700 BLK Summit Avenue– Protection Order Violation/ Arrest – Police Officers responded to this residence for a Well-Being Check based on a phone call from the Hamilton County Jail. A Corrections Deputy stated a woman had threatened bodily harm against a man and herself. Police located the woman at the residence and determined she had an active Temporary Order of Protection with the male resident as the protected person. The woman was arrested and charged with Violation of Order of Protection.
26-000037 – 500 BLK Benson Drive – Harassment – The reporting party stated that she received several harassing text messages earlier in the day. She showed Police a text message from a known male. In the text, he threatened to shoot up a family gathering if the caller’s daughter and another person did not stop talking about him. She believed the suspect to be a gang member and capable of the threat. Based on the evidence, a warrant for Harassment (Verbal Threat) was secured.
26-000042 – 7300 BLK Haven Hill Lane – Harassment – The RP, and mother of a suspect in a harassment, reported that the victim was messaging her about their conversation earlier in the day. The caller stated she did not have any control over her adult son and told the woman to leave her out of the situation. The woman continued to message even after she was told to stop. The subject then proceeded to text forty times in a thirty-minute timeframe. A warrant for Harassment was secured.
26-000039 – 600 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Suspicious Activity / Arrest – Police responded to the report of an assault in the parking lot of the restaurant. Officers later determined the report was unintentional misinformation provided through a third party. While in the area, Police located an intoxicated woman near the Camp Jordan Emergency Room. Police officers linked her as the suspect to the altercation and harassing stemming for a hotel disorder. Police arrested her, and she initially resisted by pulling away and refusing to comply with lawful commands. She was transported to the Hamilton County Jail where she was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Public Intoxication, Harassment, and Resisting Arrest.
