Law and Order March 18

Day Shift March 17: A Squad

26-002415 – 1000 BLK South Seminole Drive – Suspicious vehicle/Arrest – Officers got out with a white Nissan at the above location after the owners of the property approached officers stating that the driver appeared passed out behind the wheel. After the driver was woken up and removed from the vehicle, Probable Cause was found to search the vehicle after a positive K9 alert. The vehicle search revealed a small amount of methamphetamine and various paraphernalia. The subject was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.

26-002411 – 700 BLK Germantown Circle – Deceptive Practice – Officers spoke with a man and wife who had been the victims of a scam. The male advised that his wife had been trying to apply for work from home jobs and that she had been contacted by a company who had agreed to pay her prior to her doing any work. The wife stated the company had attempted to deposit two checks into her account that had two different endorsements already on them. The wife stated the company had not tried to contact her afterwards, and she had blocked the company from any contact.

26-002420 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder with a Weapon – An anonymous caller reported a male chasing a female with a knife near the woods at the flea market. On scene, it was determined that a man pulled a knife on another man after the victim ran out of narcotics to sell him. The suspect cut up the man’s tent in the woods, threw his kittens in the water, and threatened him with a knife during the altercation. The suspect was charged accordingly.

26-002425 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft – The reporting party reported that two unknown females stole jewelry and a purse from her vendor booth. Pending identification, she wishes to prosecute for theft.

Night Shift March 17 : C Squad

26-002441 – 1400 BLK Maxwell Road – Burglar Alarm – Police Officers responded to the East Ridge Post Office after receiving an alarm at the employee entrance. Officers located a Postal Worker on the scene who apologized for setting off the alarm. No signs of criminal activity or other suspicious activity were found.

26-002436 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder – Multiple people reported a disorder involving a man and a woman arguing in the gas station parking lot. Police Officers responded to the location and located the couple arguing next to a black SUV. Police spoke to the individuals separately and determined the incident was verbal in nature with no signs of an assault. After speaking with ERPD, the couple agreed to calm down and head home for the night.

26-001960 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service – While in custody at the Hamilton County Jail, a woman was served with an arrest warrant through the City of East Ridge. The original charge on the warrant was Violation of Conditions of Release.
