Law and Order November 7

Day Shift November 6 : A Squad

25-011688 – 5400 BLK Ringgold Road – Assault – The caller reported being punched in the face by an unknown male while inside the food mart. The suspect was described as a male in his early 20’s wearing a black hoodie and red shorts. The suspect left the scene prior to police arrival in a gray 4-door sedan with two female occupants. The altercation stemmed from the victim talking to the suspect’s girlfriend. The manager will call police once he is able to access surveillance footage.

25-011678 – 100 BLK Margareta Lane – Domestic Assault – Police responded to a reported unknown trouble. Upon arrival, the police met a man who appeared in distress. He stated that he and his girlfriend were having a verbal argument and she pepper sprayed him. The woman stated that during the argument the man “bowed” up at her, and she sprayed him but didn’t know why. She was taken in custody for domestic assault. The arrestee was evaluated by EMS but refused treatment.

25-011665- 1600 BLK Glowmont Drive- Stolen Auto Recovery – Police were made aware that the victim found her vehicle parked at the church after it was stolen the night prior. She recovered her vehicle before police arrived. However, she met with police back at the church. The vehicle was taken out of NCIC as stolen.

25-011687- 6700 BLK Ringgold Rd. – Trespass/Arrest – Police encountered a woman wrapped in a sleeping bag, in her birthday suit, under the bridge. She was once again advised she was in violation of the trespass warning she had been issued in April. Before she was taken into custody. Police implored her to clothe herself. After she managed to walk herself up the trail leading to Ringgold Road, she was taken to the hospital per her complaint of her iron levels being low. She was quickly discharged and taken to jail without incident.

25-011684 – 5300 BLK Clemons Road- Mental Health – A party called the crisis hotline and said she was having thoughts of self-harm. On scene, she confided in her plan with the officer. Out of concern for her wellbeing, she was transported to a local hospital.

Night Shift November 6: C Squad

25-011696 – 5500 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop/Narcotics Arrest – Police stopped a gray Chevrolet Suburban that was displaying avoidant behavior and giving indication of criminal activity. The driver was on state probation out of Georgia. A consent search was conducted of his person and the vehicle. That search yielded user amounts of Schedule II, III, and V drugs. The driver was charged with Display of Registration Plates, Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic, and Simple Possession x4. He was arrested and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.

25-011697 – 1510 Maxwell Road – Burglar Alarm – Police responded to the East Ridge Post Office after receiving a burglar alarm alert. Upon arrival, officers checked the exterior of the building and located no signs of forced entry and observed no movement. Shortly thereafter, an employee of the Post Office arrived on scene and allowed officers to conduct a check inside the building for signs of break-in. No such signs were observed, and everything appeared secure.
