The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department.

Day Shift September 10: A Squad

26-008734- 3700 BLK Northview Avenue- Domestic Disorder – The caller stated this morning after she came home from work, she and a man were engaged in a verbal argument. She claimed the man shoulder-checked her at which time she grabbed his shirt to pull him back. She described the man grabbing a broom as a weapon, to which she responded by obtaining a knife which she swung at the man. The reporting party believed she cut him but does not know to what extent. Police did observe a few scratches on the back of both of her hands. Officers did not observe any marks consistent with being struck with a broom handle. The male party had left the scene prior to police arrival, and he did not respond to any attempts to contact him. ERPD will not be seeking charges at this time due to being unable to determine a primary aggressor and the lack of a cooperating victim.

26-008794 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Arrest / Trespass – A man overdosed on fentanyl while at the hospital. His girlfriend admitted to possessing fentanyl but having shared it with her boyfriend. The woman was issued a misdemeanor citation for Simple Possession, the fentanyl was seized, and she was trespassed from the premises.

26-008740 – South Moore Road/Madonna Avenue – Wellbeing Check – Police responded to the area and contacted a man on the sidewalk. He appeared to be in some sort of medical distress. Patrol approached and called out to him. When he came to, he said that he had passed out because of the heat. Officers provided him with a courtesy ride to the hospital.

Night Shift September 10: C Squad

26-008763 – 5000 BLK South Terrace – Alarm/Arrest – ERPD located two males walking in the parking lot of the theater where an alarm activation had been reported. One of the males had an active Hamilton County Warrant for his arrest. The building was found locked with no signs of tampering. The wanted party was transported to Hamilton County jail without incident.

26-008760 – 500 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Suspicious activity – Officers spoke via phone to a party who had been asked to leave the restaurant earlier in the day. The party explained that she had been talking to her bartender about her attendance of an obscene meeting hosted by a racist group in the past and shocked she was asked to leave. She then advised the ATF would be investigating this. No Police action was taken.
