Law and Order September 30

The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department.

Day Shift September 26: B Squad

25-010180 – 800 BLK McHann Drive – Assault/Fight Supplemental – Two people reported being the victims of an alleged assault by three suspects on the previous evening. During the incident, one reported the subjects engaged her and her sister in their driveway with several other parties, forcing her to defend herself. They provided video of the incident, which they received from some other parties; however, it was not clear as to who was the primary aggressor. The caller also reported being sprayed with mace and being struck with brass knuckles during the altercation. They also reported a man who one has an order of protection against was present during the altercation, however, his visage was not present during the video filming only his voice as advised by the sisters. When asked why they did not return the police’s attempts at contacting them on the phone from the previous evening and waiting approximately twelve hours to report the incident, they claimed they were both covered in mace. Neither party presented any physical injuries from the altercation. A supplemental report was completed and added to the report.

25-010202 – 1500 BLK East Ridge Ave – Suspicious Person – The resident called for assistance regarding a suspicious person on the property. The suspicious person was identified as the reporting party’s niece. The interloper had confirmed warrants out of sessions court in Hamilton County and was subsequently transported to Hamilton County Jail. The resident requested her niece be trespassed from this location.

25-010208 – 6100 BLK Marietta Street – Theft – The RP contacted police for a delayed theft occurring at the above address. He alleges that approximately 136 bottles of gel nail polish ($257.43) were stolen from his residence after it sustained heavy damage on 8/15/25 from a tree. The items were last seen on 8/19/25 and discovered missing on 9/2/25. No suspect info.

25-010216- 1517 Tombras Avenue- Assault – While walking home from school, a juvenile male reported getting jumped and beat up by four other juvenile males. The suspects were no longer on scene when police arrived, but two were able to be identified. The father of the victim requested this be handled through school disciplinary action with no legal action to be taken at this time. The ERHS SRO was contacted and made aware of the situation.

Night Shift September 26: D Squad

25-010222 – 1100 BLK South Seminole – Found Property – A party called ERPD to turn in a pistol she found beside her mailbox. The pistol was placed into the East Ridge Police Department Property Room.

25-010225-3700 BLK Ringgold Road- Traffic Stop/ Arrest – A woman was stopped for a tag-light violation. It was discovered that her Tennessee Driver’s license was revoked for DUI. While speaking about the situation, she appeared to be under the influence. When the officers searched the vehicle, an open container was in the driver’s side door. The woman was arrested for DUI 2nd, Driving on revoked (DUI), and implied consent.

25-010226 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft of Vehicle – A party stole a 2013 Hyundai Elantra from the above address after the owner left the vehicle running at a pump while she was inside the store. While officers were still on scene investigating the theft, a motor vehicle crash was dispatched on I-75 Southbound (see below incident). The description matched the stolen vehicle. When officers arrived on scene, the suspect was standing in the middle of I-75 Southbound. Once off the roadway, she was detained and eventually placed in custody for theft of the vehicle. The suspect was transported by Hamilton County EMS. An officer rode with EMS to the hospital. At the hospital, the staff informed the officer that they could not release the woman due to her level of intoxication. The suspect was released from custody and left in the care of the hospital. A warrant for theft of property over $2,500 was obtained.

25-010227- I75 SB-MVC Unknown Injuries – Police were dispatched to the scene after witnesses reported that a silver sedan lost control and went into the creek bed. Witnesses also noted that a white female, dressed in a white shirt and shorts, exited the vehicle and began walking in the middle of the interstate, attempting to enter other vehicles. Upon the police’s arrival, they located the female walking in the fast lane of the interstate. Officers were able to remove the woman from the roadway and identified her as a suspect in an auto theft that occurred earlier in the night (Case Number 25-010226). She was transported to a hospital due to her erratic behavior. During the transport, she began to overdose and was administered Narcan by EMS. Once at the hospital, she had to be sedated due to her combativeness and intoxication. Police are obtaining warrants on for the following charges: driving under the influence, driving on a revoked license, failure to maintain lane, due care, leaving the scene of an accident, and restrictions on the use of controlled-access roadways.

25-010228 – 5600 BLK Ringgold Rd – Pedestrian Struck – A male was hit by a vehicle while he was on his bicycle, travelling West on Ringgold Rd. The victim suffered a broken leg and was transported for medical treatment.

25-010229 – Cathy Lane – Delayed Assault – The caller reported that a male in his 30s, whom she was giving a ride to, assaulted her in her vehicle by punching her in the face. She stated that she only knew his first name, Coltan, and that he lived off Germantown Road. She said she told the male to exit her vehicle in East Ridge and called roughly an hour after the incident occurred. The woman suffered a bloodied nose but denied medical treatment.

25-010231- 5300 BLK Anderson Avenue – Noise Complaint – An anonymous party complained about a loud, massive party at the residence. When multiple officers arrived on scene, they observed approximately 80 college-aged people holding a party. The responsible party was located, and decided to disperse everyone and end the party. No further incident occurred.

Day Shift September 27: B Squad

25-010236- Ringgold Road/Belvoir Ave.- Traffic Stop/ Arrest – Following a traffic stop, a man was arrested on three outstanding warrants out of Hamilton County Sessions Court. The charges were two counts of animal cruelty and livestock at large.

25-010241 – 6000 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Person – Police responded to the shop after employees reported a suspicious party in an older model Subaru Forrester parked in the adjacent parking lot. According to the caller, the subject had parked in the parking lot of the smoke shop next door facing their business and the occupant made her feel nervous. Police contacted the party, who was eating lunch, and he stated he frequented the smoke shop often and did not mean to alarm anyone by his presence.

25-010248 – 4200 BLK South Terrace – Burglary – Police responded to the East Ridge Police Department to speak with a party in reference to a possible burglary that occurred at this residence. The complainant stated that sometime between the end of June and this date, an unknown party may have used a spare key to remove a wooden desk, chair and printer from his residence. He did not have any suspect information and advised there were no signs of forced entry.

25-010250-5300 BLK Anderson Ave.- Assault – Two people said they were at an off-campus party when a known subject approached, threatened to “murk” one, struck the other, causing a brief fight broken up by others. No charges were filed due to the misdemeanor assault not occurring in officers’ presence and lack of evidence.

25-010253 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity – Police observed a party operating his red food trailer/truck in the parking lot of a business. He was advised to cease his operations as no food trucks are allowed to operate along/on Ringgold Road per ordinance. He understood and closed his trailer.

25-010256 – 1517 Tombras Avenue – Suspicious Activity – Police responded to the Pioneer Frontier after a concerned citizen reported observing several parties wearing black shirts near the playground and one possibly displaying a firearm. On scene, an uninvolved party advised the subjects were participating in a birthday party and no gun was present.

25-010257- 6400 BLK Ringgold Road- Traffic Stop/ Arrest – Following a traffic stop, two people were arrested and charged with child endangerment x2, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of schedule five drugs. One also has two confirmed warrants out of Hamilton County Sessions Court.

25-010259 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road- Disorder – Police responded to a disorder at the restaurant. A customer alleged the manager had thrown lettuce at her after they got her order wrong multiple times. The manager alleged the customer was being disorderly and requested her be trespassed.

Night Shift September 27: D Squad

25-010269 – 6300 BLK Ringgold Road – Assault – An employee reported that an unhappy customer spat in his face. The victim did not wish to pursue charges at this time, but requested a report be completed to document the incident. The employee was advised to call back if the suspect returns so that a criminal trespass warning can be issued.

25-010275 – 1600 BLK Mack Smith Road – Domestic Disorder – A couple separated following a verbal dispute. Police provided an incident report for code enforcement and animal control after observing signs of health hazards in the residence, including a dog suffering from malnutrition and mange.

25-010277- 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – Police placed a hold on a subject with an outstanding Forfeiture Capias Warrant: Driving under the influence. THP transported her to the McMinn County Jail, where ERPD placed a hold on her until our Warrants Division could pick her up.

Day Shift September 28: B Squad

25-010283- 1500 BLK Tombras Avenue- Theft/Vandalism – Police responded and spoke with East Ridge Parks and Rec regarding the Splash Pad being tampered with. It was stated tubes where the acid and chlorine tubs by the water pump had been swapped, and the acid had been taken. No quantity or price could be determined at the time of report.

25-010289 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Person – An anonymous caller reported that a party, who was known to cause disorders at this location and was a felon, was in the parking lot in a black and white van smoking narcotics and possibly armed with a shotgun. Police contacted the business via phone and spoke with the manager who reported he was not smoking any narcotics just partaking in the merchandise sold at the shop. He also advised that the police presently had his shotgun in their custody. Crime Suppression also followed up with this complaint with nothing located.

24-013295/25-1037- 4214 Ringgold Rd- Warrant Service – Cleveland PD conducted a traffic stop and a subject was confirmed to have an active warrant for Forfeiture Capias through East Ridge. Police picked the fugitive up at the Bradley County Jail and transported him to the Hamilton County Jail without issue.

25-010298- Belvoir Ave/South Terrace- Crash with Injuries – Police responded to this location to assist Chattanooga PD with a crash that took place at the intersection prior to entering East Ridge. ERPD provided traffic control while vehicles were towed, and parties were examined by EMS.

Night Shift September 28: D Squad

25-010302 – 3500 BLK Shelby Circle – Domestic / Arrest – ERPD was dispatched to an unknown trouble at the above address where a female was screaming on an open line before disconnecting. Upon arrival, ERPD observed a female lying on the floor at the front door, crying with blood on her mouth and hands. The woman stated that her boyfriend had pushed and held her down, covering her mouth with his hands, along with putting a pistol to her head, threatening her. Officers located the suspect outside the right side of the residence. After running his information, officers found an active Protection Order against him for the female party. The man was determined to be the primary aggressor after the investigation concluded and was arrested for Aggravated Domestic Assault, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Violation of a Protection Order. All firearms inside the residence were secured and taken to the ERPD property room. The suspect was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.

25-010304- 700 BLK South Germantown Road- Attempted Auto Burglary – Police responded to investigate a suspicious, light-skinned male, skinny build, average height, wearing all black, and riding a dark-colored bicycle, who was observed attempting to steal items from a car in the driveway. Officers searched the woods where the victims last saw him enter and were unable to locate anything. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.

25-010305 – 1100 BLK Spring Creek Road – Intoxicated Person – Officers responded to the above address for a report of an intoxicated person. The RP stated she did not know the man. While the officer was investigating the incident, the suspect fled the scene but was only able to run a short distance because his pants were around his ankles, which caused him to trip and fall. While the officer attempted to detain him, he struck the officer in the chest, causing his body-worn camera to fall to the ground. The suspect again attempted to flee, but the officer deployed his taser, which had the desired effect. The suspect was taken into custody and transported by EMS. At the ER, the physician stated the subject was too intoxicated to be taken to jail, so he was released from custody. Warrants are being sought.

Day Shift September 29: A Squad

25-010048 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service – A woman turned herself in to the Hamilton County Jail on an active East Ridge warrant for Shoplifting. Arrest paperwork was sent to the jail and magistrate to complete the booking process.

Night Shift September 29: C Squad

25-010333 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service – While in custody at the Hamilton County Jail, a man was served with two Alias Capias warrants through the City of East Ridge. The original charges for the arrest warrants were Simple Assault and Vandalism.

25-010335 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Following a traffic stop, a man was taken into custody on suspicion of Driving Under the Influence. He was transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.

25-010341 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Assault / Arrest – Police Officers responded to an Assault with EMS needed at the hotel. On scene, Police located an adult female in the lobby with superficial wounds on her arm. Officers then located an adult male in the same area and determined he was involved in the incident. ERPD determined a second female fled the scene in a dark color SUV. Upon further investigation, it was determined the three individuals had a physical altercation in one of the hotel rooms. The male and female found in the lobby were arrested and charged with Domestic Assault. Police were unable to determine the identity of the third person involved in the incident. An arrest warrant for simple assault is pending her identification.
