Day Shift October 30 : B Squad

25-011415- 1100 Spring Creek Road- Disorder/Arrest – The Spring Creek Elementary School Crossing Guard reported a man running in and out of traffic, making obscene gestures to vehicles, and grabbing children to cross the road. Police located the suspect, but he refused to identify himself and stated he had permission to be the crossing guard, which he did not. The man was ultimately arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct, Obstructing a Highway or Other Passageway, and Criminal Impersonation.

25-011416 – 4100 BLK Dupont Street – Animals at Large – The owner of multiple dogs came by the police department to advise her animals escaped from her property and she would not be able to retrieve them until later in the week. The animals later mauled a cat during their foray before being located and secured by police and East Ridge Animal Services. A warrant for Animals at Large will sought as this occasion is just the latest in a series of her animal’s rampages through the city.

25-011422- 3900 BLK Ringgold Road- Unknown Trouble – The caller requested police response to this location after her mother received a phone call from an unknown caller attempting to get $8,000 in “restitution for missing a court appearance.” Police arrived in time to assist in discontinuing the transaction before any money was sent and informed her that this is a scam tactic. ERPD advised both to call immediately if they had any further issues.

Night Shift October 30: D Squad

25-011441 – 600 BLK Camp Jordan Pkwy – Miscellaneous – A server reported suspicious behavior between a couple and their child and requested a well-being check. The couple left, and the male rear-ended the female’s car with his car on Camp Jordan Parkway in front of the business. Both cars left the scene immediately. The female called later to report the crash as a hit and run but refused to return to the scene of the accident for the report.

25-011450 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Citizen Assist – Police presence was requested during the sale of an automobile in the parking lot of the East Ridge Fire Department.

25-011451 – 4214 Ringgold Rd – Warrant Service – ERPD served a Forfeiture Capias Warrant at the Hamilton County Jail.
