Longtime East Ridge resident, licensed practical nurse and former business owner seeks to serve the community she has called home for more than two decades.

Misty Chauncey has announced her candidacy for East Ridge City Court Clerk, bringing with her a diverse professional background in health care, business ownership and real estate, along with a longstanding commitment to the East Ridge community.

A Tennessee native, Chauncey has lived in Chattanooga for nearly 30 years and has called East Ridge home for the past 21 years. She is a licensed practical nurse, a licensed real estate professional and a former East Ridge business owner. Through her experience managing professional responsibilities, serving clients and working directly with the public, she has developed the organizational, communication and customer service skills she believes are essential for the office of City Court Clerk.

“I am running for East Ridge City Court Clerk because I want to give back to the community that has given so much to my family over the past 21 years,” Chauncey said. “East Ridge is the place I have proudly called home, and I believe my professional experience, attention to detail and commitment to serving others make me a qualified candidate for this position.”

Throughout her career, Chauncey has worked in roles that required professionalism, accountability and a strong commitment to public service. She said she hopes to bring those qualities to the City Court Clerk’s Office while providing efficient, courteous service to residents.

“I would be honored to earn the trust and support of East Ridge voters,” Chauncey said. “I respectfully ask for your vote on Election Day and look forward to the opportunity to serve our community.”
