Day Shift July 3
25-007062 – 300 BLK Dunlap- Domestic Assault – Police spoke with the assault victim who reported that her boyfriend punched her in the face while she was attempting to exit her vehicle. It was later determined that the assault occurred in Chattanooga. The Chattanooga Police Department was notified and had taken over the investigation. The suspect currently has active warrants from Sessions Court for a petition to revoke (related to assault) and for theft of property.
Night Shift July 3
25-007071 – 1000 BLK S. Seminole Drive – Suspicious Activity / Arrest – Police responded to a suspected theft in progress at a local storage facility. Officers found a man who was cutting the lock to a storage unit. Police determined that he had rented the unit and lost the key to his padlock. A woman also at the unit was found to have an arrest warrant through Walker County, GA. She was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail without further incident.
25-007078 – 400 BLK McBrien Road– Assist Emergency Services – Police and Fire Department units responded to a possible fire at the TNT Fireworks Store. Employees reported smoke in the store but could not locate any flames or hot spots. Police assisted Fire in evacuating over 100 people. Fire inspectors checked the building and found no issues. Personnel later determined the smoke was from a large firepit located at a nearby residence.
25-007081 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road– Domestic Assault – Police responded to a disorder and determined that a woman was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend. The victim was uncooperative and would not provide the name of her ex-boyfriend despite her obvious minor injuries. The woman denied EMS services and refused to provide any useful information. Police spoke with two witnesses who confirmed an assault took place; however, no one could provide a name for the suspect. Warrants will be sought once the suspect is identified.
25-007086 – 3700 BLK Anderson Ave – Animal Call – A concerned citizen reported of a dog had been hit by a car and was lying in the road. Police responded to the area and located the injured animal in a yard. An officer transported the dog to the East Ridge Animal Shelter where it was handed off to an Animal Control Officer. The injured animal was then taken to a local animal hospital for emergency care.
25-007091 – 1500 BLK Tombras Ave – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Police observed a white sedan traveling at a high rate of speed and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was found to have a revoked license due to a DUI offense. He was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.
Day Shift July 4
25-007099- 6000 BLK Ringgold Road- Traffic stop/ Arrest – Police conducted a traffic stop on a for a hands-free violation. The driver was identified and found to be revoked for driving under the influence. She was placed into custody for driving on a revoked DUI and transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.
Night Shift July 4
25-007127 – 3100 BLK Bimini Place – Shots Fired – A resident reported seeing someone shooting a gun outside their residence. No description of the suspect was provided. Police checked the area but could not locate evidence of gunshots.
25-007128 – 5600 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop/DUI Arrest – Police conducted a traffic stop on a white Chevy Tahoe after receiving a BOLO for the vehicle, reporting it as unable to maintain its lane and driving into oncoming traffic. The driver was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, failure to maintain lane, and violating the open container law. He was transported to Hamilton County Jail without any issues.
25-007139– 2.0 I75 NB – Backup other/Arrest – Following a traffic stop conducted by Catoosa County that continued into East Ridge, a man was arrested for DUI and driving without a license.
Day Shift July 5
25-007113 – 3900 BLK S Mission Oaks Dr – Disorder – Police responded to this address after the reporting party alleged that his ex-girlfriend and her son were involved in an escalating verbal argument with him. He alleged that during the altercation that the woman had grabbed a bottle of lighter fluid and threatened to burn things inside the home. The situation had de-escalated prior to police arrival. The man was advised of the civil eviction process.
25-007156 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Rd– Unconscious / Arrest – ERPD responded to the rear parking lot of the business for an unconscious person. After arriving the male suspect stated he was just taking a nap before work. A consent search was conducted and suspected fentanyl and drug paraphernalia was located inside the vehicle. The man was taken into custody and transported to jail.
25-007158 – 1600 BLK Keeble Street – Suspicious Activity – The caller reported finding a wallet in his driveway, which he discovered belonged to a neighbor. Upon reviewing his video surveillance to determine the source of the wallet, he found that during the early morning hours, a heavyset female with blonde hair attempted to enter his vehicles by checking the door handles. The subject was then observed making her way westbound on Scott St. and out of view. He advised he was not missing any items but did notify his neighbors of the incident.
Night Shift July 5
25-007179 – 3300 BLK Gleason Drive – Civil Matter – A couple going through a divorce requested information regarding the theft of shared property. The officer advised the matter was not of a criminal nature and referred the caller to seek legal counsel with a civil attorney.
Day Shift July 6
25-007185-900 BLK Mcbrien Road-Well Being Check – Police contacted a man at the church lot after a passerby reported him headbutting a telephone pole. No injuries were observed, and he agreed to move along without issue.
25-007194- 200 Eads Street- Assault/ Arrest – Police were dispatched to an assault/unknown trouble after multiple calls were placed from this address, stating that there was some sort of altercation occurring. Police were able to get the information on the alleged suspect’s vehicle and stopped it at the entrance to the apartments. Officers then contacted the alleged victim. It was discovered that he had active warrants issued by East Ridge City Court. He was placed into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail. Police were unable to determine an aggressor in the alleged assault.
25-007196 – 1000 BLK Bass Pro Drive – Disorder – Management reported a male approximately 35 years old, 5’10, wearing a ballcap, white t-shirt and black shorts was opening multiple packages in a possible attempt to steal items. According to the reporting party, when asked to leave the store, the subject became argumentative and overturned the shopping cart he was using causing damage to store property. He then fled on foot. Police attempted to locate the subject; however, he was not located.
Night Shift July 6
25-007210 – 3300 BLK Frawley Street – Unknown Trouble – A resident reported hearing screams coming from the residence next door. Police responded to the area and discovered the sounds were coming from cats fighting.
25-007205 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Disorder – An off-duty officer working at this location requested assistance for a disorder after being alerted to a male subject striking a vehicle in the parking lot with a golf club. The male party was detained without incident, and it was discovered that he was attempting to re-acquire a vehicle he believed was stolen. When the driver of the alleged stolen vehicle did not stop, the male subject’s spouse then rammed the vehicle with her car. Following further investigation, it was determined that the rightful owner of the vehicle had attempted to report it as stolen through another agency but was unable to due to lack of proper paperwork. Ultimately, it was determined that the vehicle, although not reported, was technically stolen by a female. The suspect, after being confronted twice by the owners of the vehicle, abandoned it and fled on foot towards Lansdale Park. She could not be located, and no crime could be identified for prosecution. A report was completed to document the incident.
Day Shift July 7
25-007214 – 400 BLK Camp Jordan Pkwy – Theft/ Vandalism/ Burglary – Police were dispatched to the area on reports of a disorder. Officers spoke with a woman who advised she was concerned her husband had acquired an ATV in an unscrupulous manner. Police spoke with the man who stated he helped an unknown man with “electronics” work and was rewarded with a $36,000 Polaris ATV. The suspect stated he didn’t know the man’s name, but he had a face tattoo and was working at the fair. Police detained the man while an investigation was conducted. Officers were able to contact the owner of the ATV who advised he did not know the party in possession of his vehicle. Police observed the trailer where the ATV had been housed. The trailer had been forcibly entered, and the ATV was conspicuously missing. The owner also advised the trailer cost $18,000 and would need extensive repairs. The suspect was taken into custody and charged with Vandalism, Burglary and Theft of Property (Motor Vehicle).
25-007220 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder – A hotel employee called the police after observing a female party in a loud verbal altercation with a man. During the argument, the female reportedly said, “If you hit me again, I’m leaving,” before rushing out the door, seemingly to get away from the male. The male then chased after her, and the two left in separate vehicles. Officers are working to identify both parties to conduct a well-being check.
25-007228 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Fight – Officers responded on a report of multiple parties fighting. ERPD located a male bleeding from the face. He alleged he was jumped by four males who then left in a blue SUV and a black Ford Escape (unknown tag). Officers located the suspects using the TN registration and identified them. All parties alleged the caller initiated the fight by spitting on their vehicle and swinging on their father. Officers deemed it was a mutual fight and no charges were sought.
Night Shift July 7
25-007240 – 4000 BLK Sherlin Drive – Gas Leak / Assist Fire – Police and Fire Department units responded to a gas leak next to a house on Sherlin Drive. The residents of the home inadvertently struck a gas line while working in the yard. Police provided traffic control while the Fire Department and the Chattanooga Gas Company contained the leak and repaired the damaged gas line.
25-007243 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Shoplifting / Criminal Trespass – Police observed a bicycle on Ringgold Road without proper nighttime illumination. The bicycle was stopped, and the rider was identified. During a roadside interview, it was determined that he had just left a nearby grocery store where he stole $79 worth of merchandise. The stolen items were returned to the store, and the man was criminally trespassed from the business.
25-007244 – 1400 BLK East End Avenue – Well-Being Check / Arrest – Police observed a man walking down the road and approached him to check his well-being. It was discovered he had methamphetamine in his backpack. The subject was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.
