Day Shift August 19: A Squad
25-008826 – 1000 BLK Spring Creek Road – Animal at Large – While on routine patrol police encountered two medium sized dogs in the road at Spring Creek & San Hsi. Officers contacted the owner and advised him of the city ordinance regarding dogs running at large. He stated he has difficulty containing the animals in the back yard and would contact ERAS for information.
25-008845 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft – Police responded to the resale shop after a tenant alerted the management that another tenant entered her booth and stole merchandise without paying. The responding officer observed security video of the suspect concealing items in a bag. Warrants will be sought for Theft. 25-008827 – 3300 BLK Gleason Drive – Assist Other Agency – Officers responded to assist Chattanooga Police with a kidnapping and weapon-related incident. The suspect was reported to have used a handgun to force his wife into a vehicle. The suspect was tracked to Gleason Drive. Officers observed his vehicle arrive, conducted a felony stop, and detained him until Chattanooga Police arrived and took custody.
25-008831 – 5300 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder/AOA – Officers responded to this location in reference to a disorder in which a male party had locked his daughter out of the house. On scene, Officers met with the woman and her father. It was determined that the man had established residency at the location, but his daughter wanted him removed. The matter was found to be civil, however, the daughter had an extraditable warrant through Catoosa County for Harassing Phone Calls. She was transported to jail without incident.
25-008830 – 4100 BLK Monroe Street – Deceptive Practice – The caller reported that he fell victim to an individual posing as a Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputy who instructed him to deposit approximately $2,000 to pay bond on two active warrants. The victim realized he had been scammed after the caller hung up immediately after the transaction went through. Pending identification of the suspect, he wishes to prosecute for theft.
25-008824-1600 BLK McBrien Road- Suspicious Vehicle – Police were dispatched to this address on reports of a vehicle in the yard that appeared to not belong there. On arrival, police observed a male and a female asleep in the car. The male explained that he lived at the address and had just come out to the vehicle. His aunt inside the residence verified the party’s claim. The female was found to have warrants out of Red Bank and Hamilton County. She was arrested and transported to jail without incident.
Night Shift August 19: C Squad
25-008847 – 941 Spring Creek Road – Mentally Disturbed – The Parkridge East Hospital Staff reported a man climbed into the ceiling of a patient room and refused to come down. The medical staff determined the male was experiencing mental health issues. Several Police units responded to the hospital to include a trained negotiator. After two hours of talking with the patient, he agreed to come down from the ceiling. The patient was placed in a different room and provided medical assistance.
25-008849 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity – A customer reported seeing a male walking down the road with a machete in his hand. Police responded to the area and found him near Hardees. He was found to be carrying a long piece of plexiglass that resembled a sword; rope was wrapped on one end to form a handle. The man cooperated with Police and stated he did not intend to scare anyone. He voluntarily threw away his sword and went about his business.
25-008854 – 941 Spring Creek Road – Narcotics Violation – Hospital Staff located a woman unconscious in her vehicle in the parking lot. The female was immediately moved to the Emergency Room for medical care. The staff believed the female had a medical event that was aggravated by drug use. Police observed suspected methamphetamine in plain view in the patient’s vehicle and seized it. The suspected narcotics were placed in the ERPD Property and Evidence Room for destruction.
