Jan. 11 Police Briefs

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”

January 08 – Day Shift

22-000332- 1116 McBrien Road- Vehicle Burglary

The complainant advised she left her purse in her vehicle overnight and accidentally left the passenger window cracked. She advised her purse contained her wallet with her identification cards and credit/debit cards, all of which have been deactivated. When she woke up this morning, she was unable to locate her purse and found that the vehicle was unlocked. She believes that her purse was stolen from the vehicle. The victim does not have suspect information.

22-000337- 5301 Ringgold Road- Traffic Stop/Foot Pursuit/Warrant Service

Following a traffic stop where he fled on foot, Malcolm Johnson was arrested and charged with driving on suspended, evading, and capias for driving on suspended.

22-000341- 518 Frawley Road- Hit and Run

The caller advised a Ford Explorer struck a telephone pole and the driver fled the scene. The driver was described as a male in a black puffy jacket. On scene officers checked the surrounding neighborhoods but the male was not located. AT&T was notified of the damaged pole and Cannons towed the vehicle.

22-000344- 117 Kingwood Drive- Found Property

A resident reported that he located a green suitcase and a box of what appeared to be men’s clothing items lying outside his gate next to the roadway. The resident provided the information around 0300 hours this date when police were investigating a disorder at 125 Kingwood Drive.  A male party, Roger Powers, was arrested at that address. The resident believes the property belongs to Powers. Police inventoried the property but were unable to locate any form of identification.  The property was entered in property and evidence for safe keeping.

22-000345- 1410 Mack Smith Road- Back EMS

The caller advised a male in the lobby was bleeding from the leg. On scene the male refused medical transport but requested police take him to a free clinic on Cloud Springs Road. He was transported.

22-000348- 1605 Prater Road- Suspicious Activity

The caller advised there were two females lurking around the rear of the church. On scene police checked the area but no females were located.

22-000351- 6511 Slater Road- Suspected Theft

The caller advised a heavyset male took items from a display case and fled the business. He was last seen leaving the lot in a black SUV toward Ringgold Road. On scene police spoke with the caller. She advised the male was observed going through a display case but was unsure what or if anything was taken.

January 08 – Night Shift

21-000356 / 201 Eads St – Arrest

Police were dispatched to back up an off-duty officer in regards to a disorder happening at 201 Eads St. Upon arrival, police met with Qua’Shayla Dansby, who was yelling profanities and racial slurs, stomping in her apartment to disturb the lower neighbor and yelling at the neighbor’s door causing a further disturbance. Police also met with Tyrique Henry- who has previously been trespassed from the property. Dansby was taken into custody for Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest, and Tyrique Henry was taken into custody for Criminal Trespassing. Both were transported to Silverdale Detention Center without further incident.

22-000353 Franklin Place / Domestic Assault / Arrest

Gregory Walker was arrested for domestic assault. Walker was transported to the Hamilton County Jail. Conditions of release were served to the victim.

22-000358: 411 Dunlap Ave/Narcotics for resale

A suspicious vehicle was observed parked out in the driveway of 411 Dunlap Ave containing three occupants.  Contact was made with the driver of the vehicle, Rashad Hawkins, who could not advise who he was at the residence to see or why he was in the area. Hawkins advised that there was a meth pipe and digital scales in the vehicle. A search of Hawkins and the vehicle yielded the discovery of methamphetamine, fentanyl, and Xanax, all packaged for resale.

(22-000364) 1000 Spring Creek Rd. / DUI

Julio Ramirez was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop at this location.

January 09 – Day Shift

22-000366- 913 State Line Road- Suspicious People-

The caller advised on three males in the area acting suspicious. On scene police checked the area with no males located.

22-000367- 6000 block Welworth Avenue- Domestic Assault

Duval Escalante Diaz was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and aggravated kidnaping after assaulting his pregnant girlfriend. He was transported to Silverdale without incident.

22-000376- 4152 Ringgold Road- Disorder

The caller advised a male was inside Bojangles causing a disorder and refusing to leave. On scene police spoke with the male. He decided to leave the business.

22-000380- 948 Spring Creek Road- Criminal Trespassing

Mark Regan was arrested and charged with criminal trespass after being told to leave hospital property several times by security.

January 09– Night Shift

 21-000389- 631 Camp Jordan Pkwy / Aggravated Domestic Assault

Police were dispatched to 631 Camp Jordan Pkwy in regard to a disorder with a weapon. A male was on a date with a woman and threatened to kill her, which led to her brandishing a knife in self-defense. The suspect then brandished his own knife.  He was arrested for Aggravated Domestic Assault and Public Intoxication and transferred to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.

22-000391 4214 Ringgold Road / Warrant Service

Christopher Sanderson was arrested for an active East Ridge warrant and transported to the Hamilton County Jail by the Chattanooga Police Department.

22-000399 4214 Ringgold Road / Mental Health / Misc. Complaint

Police located a male subject camping outside of the police department suffering from delusions; he was transported to Erlanger East at his request.
