Day Shift August 24:
B Squad26-008127- 1000 BLK South Seminole Drive- Domestic Assault Arrest – Police responded to a disorder involving a weapon. A woman reportedly pointed a handgun at her roommate and threatened to shoot her. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail for Domestic Aggravated Assault.
26-008129-100 BLK Bass Pro Drive- Suspicious Person – A man was criminally trespassed at the request of management, after loitering in the store and refusing to leave when asked. The subject acknowledged the trespass and moved along without incident.
26-008133-3900 BLK Ringgold Road-MVC No Injuries/Arrest – Following a crash with no injuries at this location, a man was taken into custody on an outstanding General Session Court warrant for vandalism; he was transported to jail without issue.
26-008134- 1400 BLK Mack Smith Road- SIA – Police were conducting a regular patrol when they noticed the gate for the old hotel was unsecured and wide open. Previous night shifts had secured the gate. Patrol swept the building but were unable to locate anything or anyone. It did appear someone had been at the property recently.
Night Shift August 24: D Squad
26-008140-Maryland Drive/South Moore Road – Well-Being Check – ERPD received a call aobut a male leaning against a tree, possibly sleeping. Patrol determined the male was involved in a domestic disorder that CPD was investigating. CPD responded to the scene and took the male into custody.
26-008146-Fredrick Drive/Phelps Street- Found Child – While in the area for a separate call officers observed a young male running down the street barefoot. Police stopped the child to ask where his parents were. It was quickly determined the child was nonverbal and autistic. Police were eventually able to get the child into a patrol car and then spent the next several minutes canvassing the surrounding area to locate the child’s home. After talking to several people in the area, officers were able to reunite the child with his family.
26-008147 – 1000 BLK Bass Pro Drive – Warrant Service – A background check for a firearm purchase identified an outstanding warrant for Harassment out of Sessions Court. Once the County verified the warrant, ERPD officers responded, took the man into custody and transported him to Hamilton County Jail.
26-008152 – 7100 BLK Moreview Road – Backup Fire – Officers responded to the above address to assist ERFD with a brush fire. On scene, officers contacted the homeowner and assisted with containment. ERFD arrived on scene and extinguished the remaining fire.
26-008154 – 300 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – SIA / Arrest / Trespass – Officers responded to the above address after receiving information that a man threatened to shoot a fellow employee. The suspect was taken into custody for Simple Assault and transported to Hamilton County Jail. He was also trespassed from the property per management’s request.
