Day Shift September 17 : B Squad
25-009827- 4100 BLK Ringgold Road- Arrest/Trespass – Police responded for a male party refusing to leave the property. Police contacted the man, who had a confirmed warrant out of Red Bank. He was trespassed from the property per management’s request and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
25-009835 – 3200 BLK Gleason Drive – Domestic Disorder – A concerned tenant reported hearing a female yell for someone to get off her. On scene, police contacted a woman who had blood on her shirt and a busted lip. She stated she and her girlfriend were in a verbal altercation about their relationship when one began experiencing a panic attack. The woman stated she attempted to assist in her calming, but due to her excited state and flailing her hands, the other struck her in the face causing the injury to her lip. The injured party reported she did not feel the assault was intentional and the parties agreed to separate for the day. While on scene, in the residence, police observed packaged marijuana on the living room table in plain view and agreed to secure it for destruction.
25-009838 – 10 BLK Crescent Park – Suspicious Activity/Criminal Littering – The property manager for this unoccupied residence reported finding multiple sets of motorcycle fairings (plastics) and parts for various motorcycles in the rear driveway. Police inspected the items but were unable to find any identifiable information or VIN on them. The information was passed along to CID. Chattanooga Auto Theft Detectives were also notified to deconflict any possible sources of the parts.
25-009850 – 3300 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder/Mental Health – Police responded after the grandfather of a female juvenile reported the child was striking other children in his vehicle and threatening to jump out of it. CIT spoke with the child and convinced her to be transported to T.C. Thompson’s for evaluation.
Night Shift September 17: D Squad
No number assigned – 1600 BLK South Smith Street – Disorder with a Weapon – Police responded to the above address for a report of a juvenile pointing a firearm at passing cars. ERPD contacted a juvenile who possessed a toy gun that could have easily been mistaken for a real firearm. The reporting party did not wish to speak with the police, and the child’s father advised that he would handle the situation.
25-009858 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Person – A delivery driver reported a motorist followed his semi truck to the business after witnessing the driver road raging with another motorist on Ringgold Road in front of his truck. Police spoke with the motorist, who stated he was recently handicapped, and it sometimes makes him irritable while driving. No further incident.
25-009864 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Psychiatric Emergency – Officers responded to the above address for a report of theft. When officers contacted the reporting party, she made several nonsensical statements. During the investigation, the woman took off her sweatshirt and shirt underneath and laid down under a running patrol vehicle. Additionally, she attempted to run from the police twice. Officers spoke with her father via telephone. Her father stated she had a long history of mental health issues. A CIT officer responded and determined that the woman was a danger to herself, and she was placed into protective custody. She was transported and was admitted for a mental health evaluation. While at the hospital, she tried to leave her room. An officer attempted to help security contain her but she kicked the officer in the groin area.
