Oct. 25 Police Briefs

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”

October 21 – Day Shift

21-015306 – 5300 Ringgold Rd – Traffic Stop/Narcotics Violation:

Police stopped a Mitsubishi SUV for a registration violation.  In the vehicle, police found two unrestrained children in the backseat and 10.4 grams of marijuana in a bag in a front seat.  Traffic violations were issued for the Registration Law, Financial Responsibility, and Child Restraint Law violations.  A misdemeanor citation was provided for Simple Possession of Marijuana.  A CPS report was also generated for the incident.  A family friend responded to the location and provided the woman and her two children a ride home.

21-015305 – 3500 Ringgold Rd – Suspicious Activity:

A reporting party called several times stating that a male subject wearing jeans and “something” on his head was looking in cars and walking behind businesses in the area.  The caller also advised the suspect had been in the area for over three hours conducting the same activities.  Police looked in the area several times but did not locate the suspicious person.

21-014796 – 12 Laurel Lane (Condemned House)- Suspicious Activity:

Police checked the abandoned structure and found evidence that an individual had been sleeping inside it.  A mattress with a sheet and several empty food containers were observed inside the ground floor of the house.  No one was found on the property.

October 21 – Night Shift

21-015336- 1600 block S. Seminole / Misd. Citation: 

Charles Clowdus was issued a misdemeanor citation in lieu of arrest for simple possession (meth) after someone called police regarding a suspicious vehicle.

October 22 – Day Shift

3657 Ringgold Road (well-being check):

CPS requested police attempt to locate Dominique Lackey who was in possession of his two children which CPS wanted to place with other family members. Lackey was located in a room at the Cascades Motel with the two, small children. CPS arrived and took possession of the children, and Lackey was arrested on an active Knoxville warrant. (21-015346)

4214 Ringgold Road (deceptive practice):

An area resident completed a Whole Foods survey and then received a fake check in the amount of $2,400. The resident has since received phone calls from a man with an accent stating police will be called on them concerning the check not being returned by payment in gift cards. The resident knows this is a scam and wanted to make police aware. They will also be contacting Whole Foods. (21-015356)

October 22 – Night Shift

South Moore/South Terrace (Evading 21-015382):

Police attempted to stop a 1999 Honda Passport for traveling at a high rate of speed on South Moore. The vehicle failed to stop and crashed at 212 South Lovell Ave. Inside the vehicle police found a .22-caliber revolver, warm to the touch, with a round discharged. Police also located an AR-style rifle in the backseat. Driver was not located. THP worked the crash due to CPD refusing. The driver was later identified as Antwan White and warrants are pending.

4000 block Woodmont Dr (AOA/Arrest 21-015375):

Tiffany Skiles was taken into custody at her residence after ERPD was made aware she had warrants through the US Marshalls.

6500 Ringgold Rd (Arrest 21-015381):

Michael Thomas was arrested for driving while revoked for DUI. A passenger, Jaime Nunley, was given a misdemeanor citation for drug paraphernalia

1700 Mack Smith Rd (Misdemeanor Citation 21-015368):

Jaidah Crumsey was issued a misdemeanor citation for simple possession of marijuana during a traffic stop at this location.

4214 Ringgold Rd (Warrant Service 21-015370):

Dennis Ryals was served with East Ridge warrants at Silverdale.

4214 Ringgold Rd (Warrant Service 21-015377):

Timothy Smith was served with East Ridge warrants at Silverdale.
