Police Briefs for March 31

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”

March 29 Night Shift

22-004323- 18300 Interstate 24 WB- Crash-Property Damage: 

A black Jeep Compass traveling east bound, being driven by an expecting female was hit in the rear bumper by a semi-truck.

22-004333- 4300 block Ringgold Road- Crash-Property Damage: 

A black Nissan Titan operated by a 18yom ran into the rear of a white Chevrolet Echo stopped in the drive-up window lane, pushing it into a red GMC Canyon also in the drive-up window lane.

22-004337- 5400 block Ringgold Road- Theft: 

Police responded to a theft at the Valero Gas Station regarding a set of keys which was taken from the front counter. The complainant advised he accidentally left his keys on the counter of the gas station. When he went back to find his keys they were gone. Upon reviewing security camera footage, a female wearing a black jacket with blue and yellow stripes was observed to put the keys in her pocket. The female was observed to have bought a pipe from the gas station and left in a tan/beige transit van. A report with attached pictures are on file for the incident.

22-004339- 1000 block S. Seminole Drive- Arrest-Traffic/Drugs: 

David Prestridge was arrested for Possession of 1.5 grams of Methamphetamine and Resisting Arrest following a traffic stop at this locate.

22-004341- 3275 Fountain Ave- Apartment Fire: 

Police responded to the Summit Apartments regarding an apartment fire inside of one of the apartments. Upon arrival police observed multiple residents outside of the apartment building and heavy black smoke coming from inside the main area of the apartment building. Police were able to pull two individuals from the common area of the apartment building onto the sidewalk and advised fire more individuals were still upstairs. ERFD along with Catoosa County Fire, Chattanooga Fire, and Tri-Community fire were able to pull six more people from inside the apartment building. A report is on file for the incident pending an investigation by the arson investigator.

22-004346- 1500 block McDonald Road- Simple Possession: 

While police were investigating suspicious activity Jenny Holcomb was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. She was issued a misdemeanor citation and released.
