September 5, 2025 By Contributed Article Leave a Comment

The City of East Ridge is notifying the public of temporary, rolling road closures on John Ross Road beginning Monday, September 8, 2025, through Wednesday, September 10, 2025. These closures are required to complete the lateral lining portion of the City’s ongoing infrastructure improvements under the P3 program.

Work will be performed by Morgan Contracting Inc. and their subcontractor MBI, with traffic control implemented in accordance with the approved Traffic Control Plans. Unlike previous phases, these closures will be short-term and move progressively along different sections of John Ross Road throughout each day as crews complete work.

Closure Schedule & Location

  • Monday, September 8, 2025: John Ross Road between Greenslake Road and Bennett Road, then moving between Bennett Road and Connelly Lane.
  • Tuesday, September 9, 2025: Temporary closures in accordance with Traffic Control Plan #1.
  • Wednesday, September 10, 2025: Temporary closures in accordance with Traffic Control Plan #2.
Traffic Impact
  • Closures will be temporary and rolling, reopening sections once work is complete and shifting traffic control to the next work area.
  • Drivers should expect brief delays and are urged to follow posted detours and flagger instructions.
  • Local and emergency access will be maintained.
