November 14 Police Briefs

Day Shift November 11, 2022

22-015592- 6514 BLK Ringgold Road- Suspicious Person- The caller advised a male was on the property and was not supposed to be. On scene police encountered the subject and issued a criminal trespass warning.
Night Shift November 11-12, 2022

22-015619 – 6514 Ringgold Rd. – Auto Theft – Selena Pineda allegedly stole a Black 2020 Nissan Maxima. The vehicle was entered into NCIC. Police located Pineda with the vehicle at 6510 Ringgold Road later in the shift. She was taken into custody and the vehicle was removed from NCIC.

22-015616- I-75 exit 1- Theft- TDOT truck drivers got out with an abandoned Ford truck at this location. Upon doing so, two individuals fled in a Honda CRV. After inspecting the truck it appeared the individuals may have attempted to cut off the catalytic converter. Police are working to identify the owner of the Ford truck.

22-015611- 5301 Marion Avenue- Domestic Assault- Officers responded to a call regarding a domestic assault. The caller advised a brother and sister were involved in a physical altercation. Officers arrested Felesha Pemberton for Domestic Assault.

22-015621- 900 BLK Geswein Court- Burglary of a Vehicle- Officers responded to the area regarding suspicious activity. The caller advised they observed two suspects pulling on car handles in the neighborhood. Officers arrived in the area and observed a male suspect leaned into the passenger side of a vehicle. Officers quickly took the suspect into custody and recovered property which was stolen from the vehicle. A firearm was taken from another vehicle, but was not recovered.

22-01615- 1400 Mack Smith Road- Traffic Stop- Dennis Steele was taken into custody following a traffic stop at this location after being found to have an outstanding warrant out of Morgan County, Alabama.

22-01624- 6300 Marietta St- Traffic Stop- Police made a traffic stop on a blue truck failing to maintain lane and having expired registration. After obtaining the driver, Eric Vaughn’s, information he quickly exited the vehicle while officers were checking him for warrants. A short foot pursuit ensued and he was taken into custody. Vaughn was found to have multiple warrants out of Catoosa County. Police conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle after observing a meth pipe in plain view and located a large quantity of drug paraphernalia. Dispatch was then advised of the VIN to the vehicle due to having a license plate to another vehicle displayed. The vehicle was found to be stolen out of Chattanooga. Vaughn was taken into custody for evading arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, and theft over $1000.

Dayshift November 12, 2022

22-015631- 3500 BLK of Ringgold Road- Suspicious Person-The caller advised a male was walking along the roadway throwing items at his vehicle. On scene the male was located in the 3200 blk and identified as Kedarrian Higgins. Following the investigation Higgins was arrested and charged with vandalism.

22-015633- 7609 Standifer Gap Road- Warrant Service- Zachary Watkins was served several East Ridge warrant at Silverdale.

22-015648- 5400 BLK Ringgold Road- Traffic Crash/DUI Arrest- Adriel Snowden was arrested and charged with DUI following a head-on crash at this location.

Night Shift November 12-13, 2022

No Number Assigned- 6400 Ringgold Road- Traffic Stop- Cody McDonald was taken into custody following a traffic stop at this location after being found to have multiple outstanding warrants out of Hamilton County.
22-015654- 5301 Ringgold Road- Arrest-Domestic Assault- Omar Mendez was arrested for domestic assault, criminal impersonation, and an outstanding warrant following a traffic stop at this location.

22-015662- 3600 BLK Ringgold Road- Theft- The complaint reported her phone stolen after she left it inside a business.

22-015655-6100 BLK Nottingham Dr- Citizen Assist- Officers were dispatched to this residence after the reporting party advised her dog chased after an opossum and got stuck under the crawl space of the house. With the help of dog’s favorite treats officers were able to rescue the dog and return it to the owner.

22-015660- 500 BLK Cedar Glen Circle- Arrest-Other- Police were called for a male and female fighting in the front yard. The initial address given was Frawley Road. Officer could not determine an assault took place but arrested the female for disorderly conduct.

22-015668- 5600 BLK Ringgold Road- Disorder- Officers responded after security advised a disorder was occurring in the parking lot. Upon arrival officers observed over 40 people in the parking lot of the business along with a large number of other individuals inside the business. Officers stood by while the large gathering dispersed for the evening.

Dayshift November 13, 2022

22-015671- 1500 BLK Burns Avenue- Vehicle Burglary- The caller requested police respond due to a vehicle burglary. On scene police met with the victim. He advised sometime between 11-12 2030 hours and 11-13 0545 hours an unknown suspect entered his unlocked vehicle and took property (credit cards and cash).

22-015684- 1410 Mack Smith Road- Unknown Trouble-Maintenance staff at the Budgetel were in room 2114, servicing what was thought to be a bad circuit breaker. When the repairman opened the panel, he observed several large electrical wires going into a plastic housing on both sides of the actual breakers. The maintenance person was not knowledgeable in reference to these fittings. He and another staff member became uneasy and thought it might be some sort of bomb. ERPD and ERFD responded to the motel and inspected the connections. Both Fire and Police officers familiar with HVAC and electrical wiring, recognized the fittings as electrical wiring connectors and gave the all clear. ERFD personnel inspected the box and other electrical devices for potential fire hazards.

Night Shift November 13-14, 2022

22-015697- 4214 Ringgold Road- Missing Person Endangered-The RP came to the police department and advised her 47-year-old son was missing. She advised his last known whereabouts was at McDonald’s in East Ridge at around 7 pm. She stated she drove from Gallatin, TN to come pick him up from McDonald’s, but he wasn’t there when she arrived. Officers searched the area and located the missing party sitting at the corner of Ringgold Road/Swope Drive. He was given a courtesy ride to be reunited with his mother.
