Police Briefs for Aug. 13

The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department.

Day Shift August 12

24-010303 – 1100 BLK Spring Creek Road– Suspicious Vehicle – A teacher called about a white Ford parked on the grass with a man inside asleep. Police checked the occupant and found he was an employee of the school.

24-010330 – 3700 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Vehicle – A woman was found lying in an odd position inside a vehicle in the parking lot of a closed business. The woman was discovered to be living out of her vehicle.

Night Shift August 12

24-010358 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Field Interview – Officers contacted a man observed sleeping in his vehicle behind the hotel. A probable cause search revealed a small amount of marijuana, which was disposed of on site. A field interview report was completed.

24-010342 – 5400 BLK Connell Street – Warrant Service – Officers served a warrant on a man at his residence. He was taken into custody and transported to jail without incident.

24-010334 – 1300 BLK Sunnyfield Lane – Residential Fire – Police assisted East Ridge Fire Department with a fire involving building materials outside a home. The fire was extinguished by the residents before police arrival. No issues reported. 24-010356 – 3400 BLK Gail Drive – Disorder – A caller reported a disturbance involving their boyfriend, which was keeping children awake. Police determined it was a verbal altercation. Both parties agreed to separate for the night and address the issue in the morning.
