Police Briefs for Jan. 15

The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department.

Day Shift January 14: Bravo Squad

25-000483 – 5300 BLK Haisten Court – Warrant Service – A man was taken into custody at the listed address on three outstanding warrants, the warrants were for aggravated domestic assault, false imprisonment, and theft. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without issue.

25-000485 – 4400 BLK Vester Lane – Overdose – ERPD was dispatched to a drug overdose. Upon arrival ERPD located the subject on the floor of the kitchen struggling to breathe. ERPD gave Narcan while waiting for EMS to arrive. ERFD arrived on scene and took over life saving measures. ERFD gave more doses of Narcan. The party was transported for medical treatment.

25-000489 – 1400 San Hsi Dr – Traffic Stop – A traffic stop was conducted on a blue Nissan Altima with expired/suspended Tennessee registration, registered to a previous owner. The driver was cited, and the tag was surrendered and placed into property at the East Ridge Police Department.

25-000490- 3700 BLK Fountain Ave– Domestic / Burglary – A man was reported to have entered his ex-partners apartment through the back sliding glass door and, once inside the residence grabbed a kitchen knife and attempted to go after the other male occupant. The victim locked the bedroom door behind and left the apartment via the window. The suspect then kicked the bedroom door down and attempted to locate the victim. The subject also took a wallet, phone, and keys. Currently warrants are being sought for Aggravated Assault x2, Aggravated burglary, and theft of property.

25-000496 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Rd – Traffic Stop / Warrant Service – While traveling east bound on Ringgold Road,  a Red Nissan Titan was observed traveling with a suspended Tennessee registration tag. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver was transported to the Hamilton County Jail on Collegedale Warrants without issue.

Night Shift January 14: Delta Squad

25-000505- 4900 BLK Maryland Dr.-Warrant Service – A man was arrested on two outstanding Hamilton County warrants for Domestic Assault and Failure to Appear. He also had an outstanding East Ridge warrant for Driving on Revoked for DUI.

25-000506-6000 BLK Ringgold Rd -Assault – A Lyft driver had picked up a middle-aged male from a bar in Chattanooga. She could only describe the male as overweight, middle-aged, and bearing a gray scruffy beard. Within minutes of picking up the male, he began to touch her right leg and tell her that she was beautiful. This continued until she dropped the male off at a hotel in East Ridge. She could not provide a better description of the suspect. Officers spoke with a hotel employee but were unable to review the camera footage. The clerk could not advise if the male entered the hotel. The male was not located. Lyft was also unable to provide any information on the subject.

25-000510-3600 BLK Wimberly Lane -Suspicious Person – A caller reported seeing a male checking car door and looking into cars. Police checked the dealership and the surrounding area but did not locate anyone.

25-000511- 300 BLK Dunlap Avenue– Domestic Assault – Police responded to the above address for a reported domestic disorder. A man was arrested for domestic assault for shoving his wife.
