Catholic Continues Winning Ways in Middle School Baseball

April 4, 2025 By Contributed Article 0 Comments

Catholic Baseball scored 10 runs in the first inning and never looked back in a 17-0 win over Brown Middle School Thursday afternoon.

Holder Donnelly went 3-for-4 in the win improving Catholic to eight wins versus six losses on the year. Catholic will attempt to extend its win streak on Saturday as they visit Whitwell. First pitch is slated for 11 a.m.

In Catholic’s 10-run first, Nathan Wesson had a two-RBI triple and a two-run double, Ethan Land knocked in two runners, and Myles Pruitt singled scoring two.

Catholic’s bats kept up the onslaught in the second inning, scoring seven run on six hits. All told, Catholic accumulated 13 hits in the rout.

Donnelly was the starting pitcher for Catholic. He didn’t allow a hit or run in two innings, striking out two. Evans pitched one inning of scoreless ball in relief. The right-handed pitcher didn’t allow a hit as he fanned one and walked a batter.
