Day Shift January 20 : A Squad
26-000646 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop/Arrest – An officer spotted a black Toyota driving in the area of homicide suspect Cyntoria Simmons’ house. The same vehicle had been observed in her driveway earlier in the morning and was found to be registered to her mother. A traffic stop was then conducted, and Simmons was interviewed by CID before being taken into custody on an outstanding warrant and transported to jail. A short time later, Toney Allen Jr. turned himself in at the police station. He was also transported to jail.
26-000632 – 3200 BLK Ardian Trail – Theft from a vehicle – The victim reported that two of his unlocked vehicles were broken into around 0226 hours. Surveillance video showed a suspect exiting a Chevrolet or GMC truck and rummaging through cars on his property A winch valued at approximately $600 was reported missing.
26-000633 – 1000 BLK Wynnwood Road – Theft from a vehicle – A resident reported that his truck was rummaged through and multiple items were stolen. He provided a photo of a vehicle resembling a Chevrolet or GMC pickup parked next to his truck. The incident is believed to be connected to case number 26-000632. The stolen property included various personal items, golf equipment, and approximately $20 in cash, with a total estimated value of $4,750.
26-000635 – 3300 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Person – Dispatch stated the reporting party located the suspect from theft from auto cases 26-000632 and 26-000633 at the convenience store. Officers observed a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle, contacted the victim, and positively identified the suspect. The suspect was detained, advised of his Miranda rights, but declined to make a statement. Stolen property from both cases was recovered from the vehicle, though a winch valued at approximately $600 and golf clubs valued at approximately $4,000 remained missing. The vehicle was impounded, and the suspect was arrested and charged with three counts of burglary.
3600 BLK Weldon Drive – Search Warrant – Police executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence in connection with incidents 26-000632 and 26-000633. Officers were able to secure stolen items and return them to their rightful owners.
26-000638 – 3500 BLK Claremont Avenue – Burglary – Residents reported that two of their unlocked vehicles and their unlocked utility closet had been burglarized at some point during the night. Pending identification of the suspect, charges will be sought.
26-000641 – 3300 BLK Navajo Drive – Assault in Progress – A caller reported seeing a male beating on a female in a silver Ford Explorer The male drove into the caller’s yard at some point during the assault but left prior to police arrival. The vehicle was never located.
Night Shift January 20: C Squad
26-000662 – 3200 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity / Arrest – Police observed a female walking down the road dressed in inappropriate clothing for the cold weather conditions. The female was wearing under garments, an open front jacket, and no shoes. Police approached the woman and identified her. Upon further investigation, Officers found she was carrying an open alcoholic beverage and was highly intoxicated. The woman was arrested for Public Intoxication and was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
26-000666 – 1100 BLK McBrien Road – Suspicious Activity – An anonymous individual reported that her friend had been sending her unusual text messages while staying at this address. Police Officers responded to the location and spoke with everyone inside. Police noted that everything appeared normal and there were no signs of suspicious activity.
26-000667 – 600 BLK Prater Road, Rossville, GA – Assist Other Agency – East Ridge Police Officers responded to the report of an unconscious person in a vehicle on Prater Road. A few hundred feet inside Catoosa County, police located the wrecked sedan and found a conscious but unresponsive driver inside. Several open beer cans were also seen in the vehicle and the car was still in Drive. Police broke out a window to remove the driver and render the vehicle safe. A Catoosa County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the scene and determined the driver was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. The suspect was arrested and transported to Catoosa County Jail.
