Day Shift May 26: A Squad

26-004847- 6900 BLK Tiffany Lane– Miscellaneous – Police spoke with a party at the police department concerning possible mail theft. She explained she had not been getting mail other than her bills since 2024. She advised she had brought this to the attention of the U.S. Postal Service but has yet to hear back. A report was completed to document her experience.

26-004827 – 1500 BLK Keeble Street – Deceptive Practice – A woman reported she received a text message from the Tennessee DMV concerning a vehicle registration issue and provided a payable link to avoid appearing in person. After navigating the website and inputting her banking information, the woman’s bank account was subsequently charged $2,210.

26-004836 – 6600 BLK Ringgold Rd – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Police observed a Jeep Renegade driving recklessly and conducted a traffic stop. During a records check of the driver, a warrant for Driving on Revoked for DUI was found to be valid. Also, his license was still Revoked for DUI and he was placed into custody on the warrant service and a new charge of Driving on Revoked for DUI.

Night Shift May 26: C Squad

26-004850 – 1400 BLK Choate Road – Domestic Assault – Police responded to a Domestic Disorder at this residence. Police found that an older woman with dementia had assaulted her adult son. The son did not have any visible injuries and did not wish to pursue prosecution given the circumstances. While speaking with officers, the elderly mother stated she had a plan to harm herself and asked for help. Police Officers placed the woman in protective custody and transported her to a local hospital for an evaluation.

26-004852 – 900 South Moore Road – Disorder with a Weapon – An anonymous caller reported a road rage incident involving a female driver in a red Ford Focus. The caller stated the woman had a firearm but refused to identify herself. Police located the Ford Focus and spoke to the occupants. The female driver stated a black Hyundai Elantra began following her and acting aggressively toward. She turned down a side street to get away from the Elantra, but it passed her and blocked the roadway. The driver of the Ford Focus stated she held her pistol in her hand in case things escalated, but she never pointed it at anyone or made any threats.

26-004861 – 3500 BLK Shelby Circle – Disorder – A man reported a disorder at his residence involving a woman and her teenage son. He stated the juvenile and his mother came to his address, kicked down his mailbox, and yelled at him. He further stated that he and the woman were previously in a relationship but did not provide any additional details on the incident. He declined to pursue charges for the incident.

26-004865 – 5000 BLK South Terrace – Theft from a Motor Vehicle – The victim reported that an unknown suspect stole the truck bed cover off his 2025 Toyota Tacoma. Police did not locate any witnesses to the incident.

26-004869 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Person – Restaurant employees reported a suspicious vehicle sitting in the motel parking lot. The employees stated the driver had been sitting in the vehicle for over an hour and never got out of the car. Police approached the vehicle and spoke with the driver. After a short discussion, police found the vehicle was experiencing mechanical issues and the driver was looking into options to resolve the issue.
