Day Shift August 7: A Squad
26-007507- 3400 BLK Lisa Drive – Warrant Service – Police were notified that a fugitive was on scene at the apartments. The man had active warrants for Theft and Forgery. He was taken into custody and transported without incident.
26-006653- 6700 BLK Ringgold Rd- Traffic Stop / Warrant Service – Following a traffic stop at this location, a party was taken into custody on an outstanding East Ridge warrant for Theft under $1,000.
Night August 7: C Squad
26-007544 – 5400 BLK Oakdale Avenue – Disorder/AOA – An Officer was notified by a subject that there was possibly an assault taking place and requested officers intervene. Officers responded to the residence and established a verbal altercation had occurred, but no assault had taken place. During the investigation, a man was found to have a warrant for Theft over $1000 through Williamson County and was subsequently transported to Hamilton County Detention Center.
26-007545 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder With a Weapon – Officers were dispatched to this location for a Domestic Assault which was then upgraded to a Disorder with a Weapon after the call taker heard a male party make threats to shoot someone and heard a firearm being manipulated. On scene, officers determined that a woman had been held down and assaulted by her boyfriend. The night clerk observed the assault, intervened, and displayed his firearm when the suspect approached him aggressively. The subject fled the scene prior to arrival. Warrants for Domestic Assault and False Imprisonment were obtained.
Day Shift August 8: A Squad
26-007553 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity – An employee of the church observed a male sleeping in the kindergarten play area. Police contacted the party and his dog inside the small courtyard. He was advised he was not welcome on the property.
26-007559- 6700 BLK Ringgold Road- Felony Evading – ERPD initiated a traffic stop on a maroon Nissan Altima that took off at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was last seen traveling north on I-75 N/B. The vehicle was found in Chattanooga later in shift and was towed to ERPD impound. CSU and K9 and currently investigating the identity of the driver.
Night Shift August 8: C Squad
26-007569 – Exit 1, 75 SB – MVC/Arrest – A man was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Detention Center without incident after he lost control of his vehicle on the Exit 1 Off Ramp and crashed his vehicle into a tree down the embankment. He admitted to having just left a bar on Brainerd Road and was found to be intoxicated. The man was placed into custody for Driving Under the Influence.
Day Shift August 9: A Squad
26-007594 – 4400 BLK Ringgold Road – Narcotics Violation – Officers responded to this location after a report of a man unconscious and possibly overdosing in the bathroom. On scene, the bathroom was locked and unable to be accessed. Police forced entry to provide care and found the party extremely intoxicated on narcotics. He consented to a search of his person and police located 1.8 grams of Methamphetamine and multiple items of Drug Paraphernalia. He was arrested for Public Intoxication, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Night Shift August 9: C Squad
26-007612 – Ringgold Road/Camp Jordan Parkway – Broken Down Auto – Police observed a white Ford Ranger stalled at the intersection. It was determined that the driver was learning how to drive his new truck with a manual transmission. He saw Law Enforcement behind him and got nervous. His mother was in the car, and she was in good spirits and laughing due to his frustration.
26-007614 – 1200 Block Altamaha Street – Traffic Stop/Narcotics Arrest – Police observed a male riding a bicycle at night with no light. The male turned left off Ringgold Road onto Altamaha Street. He departed from the correct lane and began riding in the oncoming traffic lane. A traffic stop was made. The male was agitated and trying to distance himself from the bicycle and the bags hanging from it. The male stated he was coming from a known drug house and was adamant that the officers needed to let him go. The officer called for a K9 officer to conduct a free air sniff of the bags on the bicycle, and Chattanooga PD arrived to assist. The dog alerted one of the three bags, and a search was conducted. That search yielded approximately 0.76 grams of suspected methamphetamine and a syringe with ten units of suspected liquid meth in a black pouch. He was arrested for Manufacture, Delivery, Sell, and Possession of Methamphetamine pursuant to T.C.A. 39-17-434 and taken to Hamilton County Jail.
26-007609 – 1200 BLK Spring Creek Road – Check Hazard – Police responded to a concerned citizen regarding a large pothole in front of a residence. Officers inspected the area and observed that the roadway appeared to need repairs. The Street Department will be notified so the necessary repairs can be made.
Day Shift August 10: B Squad
26-007637-4400 Bennet Road-Missing Juvenile – A concerned parent reported to police that she was unable to locate her son after he told her he would be staying late at school for football practice and that his phone was turned off. An officer located the juvenile in the school gymnasium, and he was asked to keep his phone on so his parents could contact him.
Night Shift August 10: D Squad
26-007640 – 5700 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder Prevention / Warrant Service – Officers were requested to stand by at the above address during a child custody exchange. While on scene, officers learned that a man had two outstanding warrants for custodial interference out of sessions. He was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail.
26-007644 – 5500 BLK Miller Drive – Animal Call / AOA – Officers initially responded to the 900 BLK of Spring Creek Road for a report of an injured dog. Officers located the dog at the above address and notified dispatch that the incident was in Chattanooga and requested their response. Chattanooga PD and McKamey responded to assist the injured dog.
26-007648 – 3200 BLK Castle Ave – Fight / Evading – ERPD responded to the above address for an active fight. When patrol arrived with emergency equipment activated no fight was observed, but a male wearing a white shirt fled on foot. The man was located after a short time and actively resisted officers. ERPD continued to question parties on scene, but no one had any marks to show an assault occurred. ERPD could not identify the male in custody. He was booked as John Doe and charged with Evading and Resisting Arrest. John Doe was transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.
26-007649 – 4000 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Person / Trespass – Officers were flagged down by the owner of the business after he had watched a male on camera checking doors on the building and vehicles around the structure. After watching the video, officers were able to get a clothing description of the male and ultimately locate him behind another business. The man, a local transient, was trespassed from the above address at the business owner’s request.
