Day Shift August 20: B Squad
26-007994- 2100 BLK McBrien Road- Traffic Stop – Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that continued into the State of Georgia. During the investigation, the occupants were found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. One was also found to have an active warrant out of Catoosa County, Georgia. The Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office responded and assisted with the investigation.
26-007999- I75 Off Ramp NB- Check Well-Being – Police were called regarding a female walking on the interstate. She said she was walking to Hamilton Place for her job. She was run through Hamilton County Dispatch, where it was found she had a non-extraditable warrant as well as violent tendencies. The woman was upset that police told her she was not allowed to walk on the interstate. She was given a courtesy ride to the Walmart located in Brainard.
26-008000- 3400 BLK Lisa Drive- Back EMS – Police responded to this location regarding a male who was bleeding. Upon arrival, officers determined that the male had accidentally cut himself with a knife while attempting to remove a bug from his body. EMS responded to the scene and transported the male to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
Night Shift August 20: D Squad
26-008001 – 5400 BLK Ringgold Road – BOLO/ Warrant Service – ERPD stopped a vehicle occupied by an individual with active warrants out of East Ridge. The individual was removed from the vehicle and taken into custody. He was transported to jail without incident.
26-008004 – 6600 BLK Ringgold Road – MVC No Injuries/DUI Arrest – A passerby reported seeing a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed lose control and crash down into the embankment of the I-75 cloverleaf exit ramp. Police located the vehicle, and shortly thereafter, they found the driver. The driver was taken into custody for driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident, and violating implied consent laws.
26-008009 – 5300 BLK Ringgold Road – Alarm – Police responded to the above address for a burglar alarm. Officers found an unsecured front door. Patrol checked the business and found no intruder. A keyholder arrived on scene and secured the door.
26-008010 – 500 BLK Frawley Road – Burglar Alarm – Officers were dispatched to the above for an alarm activation showing motion in the sanctuary. On scene, officers found no signs of disturbance.
26-008011 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Road Hazard – ERPD responded to a report of wires down on Ringgold Road. Officers blocked lanes of traffic on Ringgold Road for a short period of time, allowing EPB to fix the sagging wires. Once it was fixed, officers reopened the roadway and returned to service.
