full_579_ 5355 Haisten Ct.: Police were dispatched to the address, Saturday, on a fight. According to an affidavit of complaint, when officers arrived they encountered a man seated in a chair in the street and bleeding from his lower right leg. The man told officers that his friend, Jacob Stevens, had assaulted him, kicking him multiple times in the leg where he was bleeding. The victim told police that he had been living at the address with Stevens for two weeks. Stevens had accused the victim of stealing money from him, an accusation the victim denied.

The report states that the victim told police that Stevens pushed him out the doorway and began to kick and choke him. The victim said that he had been hit in the head and that Stevens had grabbed him by the throat and choked him. The report states that the victim had trouble breathing.

Police spoke with Stevens, who according to the report, “appeared to be under the influence of a narcotic.” The report said Stevens eyes were glassy, he was speaking slowly and was sweating. Stevens told police that he had been taking his methadone, which he said was prescribed to him. The report states that Stevens told police that he had confronted the victim about the stolen money, then told him to leave. The victim refused and Stevens pushed him out the door. Stevens denied kicking the victim.

The victim was treated by EMS on the scene then taken to Parkridge East Hospital for evaluation and treatment.
