On Thursday, police arrested a man who allegedly assaulted his girlfriend and mother on June 26.
Justin Langston, 18, was booked into the Hamilton County Jail and charged with three counts of Domestic Assault, Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Burglary and Interference with 911. He is being held on a $20,000 bond and is due to appear in East Ridge Municipal Court on July 11.
According to a police report, officers were called to 336 Camp Jordan Road just after 1:30 a.m. on June 26 in reference to a domestic assault. Officers spoke with a woman who said that her boyfriend, Langston, had made demeaning comments about her and the couple argued. The report states that family members who were witness to the incident believed that Langston was high on marijuana or using some other drug.

Langston allegedly shoved her and she retaliated by pushing back. She said that Langston then punched her in the face. The police report makes note of swelling on the right side of the woman’s face. Langston allegedly assaulted his sister, who came to the defense of her brother’s girlfriend. Langston’s mother tried to intervene in the assault and he allegedly “butted” her into near unconsciousness.
According to a police report, Langston took off from the house, only to return later in the day, allegedly kicking in a door and menacing those present. Langston’s girlfriend barricaded herself in a bathroom and called police for help. Langston fled the scene once again.
_ 39 Frawley Rd.: Police were called to the address on Sunday morning in reference to a suspicious vehicle.
According to a police report, an officer spoke with the complainant who said that there was a silver Dodge Charger parked in the driveway of an unoccupied house that his cousin owns. The man told police that the car was not there the previous evening. He said that there was a “pile of miscellaneous personal belongings” on the ground next to the car.
The report states that the VIN was run on the car and it came back to a man in Ooltewah. The car was not reported stolen. The report states that police examined the personal belongings on the ground, which included an identification badge of a Chattanooga police officer. East Ridge police requested that a Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputy be sent to the residence of the Chattanooga officer to make contact with him.
It was determined that the Chattanooga officer had been the victim of a car burglary the night before. The car’s owner and the Chattanooga officer came to the scene and claimed their property.
