Police Briefs for May 6

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”

May 4 Day Shift

4118 Ringgold Road (theft from vehicle):

The complainant reported the theft/loss of her TN license plate (2M93H1) from her 2019 white Mitsubishi Mirage sometime on 05/03/21. The license plate was entered into NCIC as stolen. (21-006134)

5327 Greenbriar Road (burglary/suspicious activity):

The resident reported that sometime between 0830 and 1530 hours on this date an unknown subject removed the rear window to her apartment’s garage. The complainant advised she previously noticed the window had been pushed from its location in the frame on 05/02, and on this date the whole window was removed from the wall. The resident  suspects her son may be frequenting the home due to being kicked out some weeks prior. (21-006149)

4102 Belvoir Drive (theft):

The complainant reported someone threw a brick through his truck’s window overnight and stole his backpack. (21-006124)

1504 John Ross Road (property damage):

The resident called police upon arriving home today to find damage to her mailbox and fence. She has no suspect information. (21-006135)

Night Shift

I75n->24w  Pursuit (21-006162):

ERPD joined a GSP pursuit of a carjacked Rolls Royce occupied by two armed suspects.  ERPD terminated when lost sight.  THP caught the suspects in Grundy County when the vehicle ran out of gas. ERPD charges pending. For more information here’s a link.

7010 Moreview Road (21-006168):

Alton Ford arrested for assaulting a woman.

Dick graduated from ERHS in 1976 before going on to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he studied Political Science. He was among reporters who were honored by the Associated Press for the TFP's coverage of the 2002 fog-shrouded crash on I-75 in Catoosa County, Dick and his wife, Cathy, live on Marlboro Avenue where they are seen frequently chasing around their three grandsons.
