Holiday Sanitation Schedule

According to Melvin Petty, the supervisor of the city’s sanitation department, residents on the south side of Ringgold Road who have recycling service on Friday will have their recycling collected on Monday, Dec. 28.

People who have garbage picked up on Thursday, Christmas Eve, will have sanitation service on that day. No change in the schedule.

The following week, Friday, Jan. 1, recycling will be collected as scheduled. No change in the regular schedule.

Petty said Christmas Day is the only holiday where sanitation does not work.
