Police Briefs for Nov. 8

The following information was compiled from “pass along reports” from the ERPD.

November 04 – Day Shift

604 Bacon Trail-

Demarcus Dillard was taken into custody on county warrants following a disorder at this location.

5420 Connell St-

Anonymous caller advised an unknown male was walking in the area carrying a gun. Police checked the area but no one was located.

November 04 – Night Shift

3657 Ringgold Road / Narcotics Arrest:

(21-015985) Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle leaving the Cascades, resulting in a consensual encounter of room 53. After the encounter, police took Troy Godwin into custody for distribution of methamphetamine as well as active East Ridge warrants for methamphetamine.

3715 Ringgold Rd (Arrest 21-015976):

Officers observed a known wanted subject, Justin Giles, in the Food City parking lot. Mr. Giles was seen getting into a vehicle, at which time a traffic stop was initiated, and he was taken into custody without incident.  Search incident to arrest methamphetamine packaged for resale, Roxicodone, and US currency was found on his person.

21-015971 4340 Ringgold Road / Food Lion / Shoplifting:

Police responded to this location in reference to a shoplifting call. Police observed the store’s video footage and witnessed two females enter the store, collect approximately 200 dollars’ worth of miscellaneous groceries, and exit without paying. Police have no suspects at this time—report on file.

21-015986 1100 block McBrien Road / Agg. Domestic Assault / Arrest:

A female subject was arrested for aggravated domestic assault and resisting arrest following a disorder call at this location. CPS referral completed. Report on file.

3715 Ringgold Road/Warrant Service (21-015979)

Katherine Kilgore was arrested for three Hamilton County warrants during a traffic stop at this location.

6500 Ringgold Road/Drugs (21-015987)

John Hixson was arrested for possession of meth, and Caylea Cody was issued a misdemeanor citation in lieu of arrest for drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop.

4800 Delaware Road/Evading (21-015991)

Police attempted to stop a silver Chevrolet Lumina. The vehicle took off at a high rate of speed traveling through the neighborhood. Report on file.

21-015980 18200 Interstate 24 EB / Crash-Property Damage: 

A driver operating a Ford F650 heading to Florida changed lanes hitting a Chevrolet Camero.  The F650 driver was issued citations for Failure to Maintain Lane and operating an unregistered vehicle.

21-015988 Central Avenue @ Lynchburg Street / Arrest-Warrant: 

Heather Mansel was arrested on an Alias/Capias warrant for Simple Possession of Marijuana after being located by Chattanooga Police.

November 05 – Night Shift

6700 Ringgold Rd (Arrest 21-016034):

Raheem Taylor was taken into custody during a traffic stop. He is charged with possession of cocaine for resale, possession of marijuana for resale, possession of ecstasy for resale and possession of a firearm during a felony.

1500 McDonald Rd (Fail to Stop 21-016045):

Police attempted to stop a red Jeep Liberty as it exited the Waverly Motel. The vehicle failed to stop and was allowed to safely flee per department policy.

1200 S Seminole (AOA Arrest 21-016046): 

Tyler Jernigan was detained on Hamilton County warrants during a traffic stop. He was transported to Silverdale.

1500 Mack Smith Rd (DUI Arrest 21-016047):

Deborah Blanks was taken into custody for DUI  2nd after officers observed her unconscious in her vehicle at the intersection of Ringgold Rd and Mack Smith Rd.

6500 Ringgold Rd (DUI Arrest 21-016050):

Brandy Howard was taken into custody for DUI during a traffic stop.
