Dec. 2 Police Briefs

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”

Nov. 30 Day Shift

631 Camp Jordan Parkway (disorder/criminal trespass):

Police responded to Jonathan’s in reference to a customer not paying their bill and threatening the employees. The employees advised a female wearing a pink shirt and dark leggings, ordered some alcoholic beverages and was attempting to leave without paying for them. The employees stated the subject threatened to have some people come to the business and shoot up the place before paying her bill and leaving. Officers located the female, identified as Christa Johnson, in the Motel 6 parking lot. Johnson was checked for warrants and found to have two warrants through HCSO. She was detained and transported to the Hamilton County Jail after being advised she was trespassed from Jonathan’s. (21-017335)

6501 Slater Road (theft):

A vendor with Dept One-Three reported the theft of two female styled “Reborn” collectible dolls from her booth on 11/24 and 11/28. Video surveillance shows a younger (possibly teenage) female, approximately 5’02, 150lbs with medium-length dark hair and wearing a backpack carrying the dolls from the booth to another and then exiting the area with nothing in her arms. The subject’s identity is unknown at this time. (21-017339)

Night Shift

2298 East 23rd St (Assist Other Agency 21-017353):

EPRD received a BOLO of a possible kidnapping suspect out of Chattanooga. The suspect was driving a 2011 White Ford Taurus traveling west on Interstate 24. Officers caught up to the vehicle as it exited onto 4th Ave and conducted a high-risk stop at the Krystal. ERPD stood by while CPD investigated and it was determined there was no kidnapping.

3920 Ringgold Rd ( Evading 21-017347) 

Police attempted to make a traffic stop on a FedEx van near this location. The vehicle fled at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was not pursued per department policy. Officers learned the vehicle was involved in a hit and run crash prior to fleeing law enforcement. The crash is under investigation.

4011 Ringgold Rd (Arrest 21-017360):

Police arrested Kevin Wilson following a traffic stop at this location. Officers located drug paraphernalia, Hydrocodone and Oxycodone in his possession. Wilson was also charged with resisting arrest after he attempted to fight officers taking him into custody.

6009 Wentworth Ave (Suspicious Activity 21-017355):

Police responded to this location after the residents advised they observed an unknown individual, in a two-door white pickup truck, stop and look into their mailbox. Due to the recent cases of mail being stolen a report is on file for the incident.

941 Spring Creek Rd (Auto Theft 21-017370):

Police were called to Parkridge East after a female patient had overdosed and was dropped off by friend Sidney Merritt. Merritt then left in the woman’s 2017 Chevy Malibu without her permission. Merritt never returned the vehicle. Warrants are being sought on Merritt for theft. He has a possible full extradition warrant out of Whitfield County.

829 Claremont Ct (Theft 21-017350):

The complainant reported his Uber Eats driver stole his delivery food per restaurant staff.

1517 Tombras Ave (Warrant Service 21-014708):

Cordellius Birdsong was taken into custody on an outstanding East Ridge warrant at East Ridge City Court and transported to Silverdale.

1517 Tombras Ave (Warrant Service 21-017341):

Travis Allen was taken into custody on an outstanding East Ridge warrant at East Ridge City Court and transported to Silverdale.

1517 Tombras Ave (Warrant Service 21-017342):

Mary Adams was taken into custody on an outstanding East Ridge warrant at East Ridge City Court and transported to Silverdale.

4214 Ringgold Rd (Warrant Service 21-017349):

Desmond Powell was served with an outstanding East Ridge warrant at the Hamilton County Jail.
