Police Briefs for Dec. 20

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”

December 16 – Day Shift

21-018096- 5603 Ringgold Road- Suspicious People

The caller advised of homeless people hanging out around the property. On scene police checked the property but the homeless people had already left the area.

21-018097- 6510 Ringgold Road- Disorder

The caller advised a male and female in rooms 165 and 167 were refusing to leave the motel. Once on scene, police encountered a woman and Michael Reese. Reese was found to have a warrant through Hamilton County. He was transported to Silverdale.

21-018098- 3218 Gleason Drive #40- AOA

CPD requested officers check this address for a white Kia Optima 4Z23G0 TN. The vehicle and driver fled a traffic stop. On scene police checked the complex but the vehicle was not located.

21-018100- 3300 block Frawley Street- Vehicle Burglary

The complainant called to advise her Glock 27, 9mm was taken without her permission from her vehicle.  The victim reported that she parked her 2016 Nissan Sentra at her mother-in-law’s house on Tuesday, 12/07/2021 while she traveled out of town. She stated she returned home on 12/15/2021 and was notified her car was towed by United Wrecker for being parked in the wrong location.  The victim stated she went to pick up her vehicle from United Wrecker on Wednesday around 1330 hours and noticed the gun missing. She spoke to the wrecker service who told her they reviewed their security cameras and did not see anyone break into her vehicle while parked on their lot. She stated that there were no signs of forced entry into the vehicle. Police ran the serial number from the firearm through CAD and it returned information that the firearm was recovered by Chattanooga Police Department on 12/11/2021 around 0030 hours.  According to CPD OCN 21-132566, police were involved in the pursuit of a stolen vehicle.  Police seized the firearm from one of the occupants that ran from the stolen vehicle.

December 16 – Night Shift

4000 Ringgold Road / Arrest 

Shanetria Harris was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of schedule II and possession of drug paraphernalia at this location following a traffic stop.  21-018124

Prater Road at State Line Road / Traffic Stop 

Police conducted a traffic stop where driver continued into Georgia. During the traffic stop it was discovered the passenger was in possession of Xanax.  She was turned over to Fort Oglethorpe Police.

600 Frawley Road / Agg Assault-Pursuit 

During a traffic stop at this location a black Ford F-150 TN 7M44F7, driven by Dejuan Cooper fled a traffic stop striking an officer. ERPD engaged in a pursuit. The vehicle was last seen at Main Street and the South Seminole intersection. Warrants will be sought for Cooper. The black F-150 was observed at 201 Eads St prior to the traffic stop in front of the 100 building.  21-018141

3379 Shadowlawn Dr. / Arrest 

Robert Adkins was taken into custody following a traffic stop for possession of schedule 2, 6, and legend drugs. 21-018123

December 17 – Day Shift

6944 Glen Errol Way (auto burglary) 

The complainant’s unlocked vehicle was entered overnight and prescription Methadone and Prozac were stolen. There is no suspect information available. (21-018148)

5519 Ringgold Road (fraud)

The area manager of Tennessee Title Loans stated an employee, Wendy K. Torres, has used customer information to fraudulently secure loans without their knowledge. Warrants are being sought. (21-018160)

4150 Ringgold Road (theft)

Walmart loss prevention, provided proof of theft by former employees, Alina Crowley, and Joshua Henson. Warrants are being sought. (21-018149)

Germantown Road at N. Terrace (suspicious person)

CPD requested ERPD respond to a male subject behaving erratically at this location. Police made contact with Garry Raines Jr. who was arrested on a Chattanooga warrant. (21-018162)

4214 Ringgold Road (warrant service)

CPD made contact with Jerry Fearn in Chattanooga. Fearn had several warrants out of East Ridge and was taken into custody by ERPD. (21-018157)

December 17 – Night Shift

4214 Ringgold Rd (Warrant Service 21-018188)

Adryan Mynatt was arrested on an East Ridge arrest warrant at Silverdale.

4214 Ringgold Rd (Warrant Service 21-018189) 

Terre Nelson was arrested on two East Ridge arrest warrants at Silverdale.

500 S St Marks St (DUI 21-018204)

Police arrested Irvin Castillo for DUI and Dani Perez for public intoxication following a hit and run that occurred in Chattanooga. The parties fled into East Ridge where Castillo crashed into a ditch.

N Smith St. & Ringgold Rd (Traffic Stop 21-018184)

Police observed a Grey Chrysler 200 leaving the Budgetel with an improperly displayed license plate. Upon stopping the vehicle at this location police made contact with the middle aged male driver wearing army fatigues. Upon attempting to get the driver out of the vehicle, the driver accelerated at a high rate of speed west on Ringgold Road. Police turned off their emergency equipment upon observing the vehicle driving erratically through traffic and allowed the vehicle to safely flee into Chattanooga.

4214 Ringgold Rd (Warrant 21-018196)

Darryn Smith was taken into custody on an East Ridge warrant for simple possession of meth (capias).

3606 Maiden Dr ( Public Intoxication 21-018212)

Reporting party called in stating a male knocked on their door saying call the police. Police encountered the man and determined he was extremely high on a narcotic. The jail refused to take him due to the state he was in. He was transported to Parkridge East where they were able to calm him down and treat him. A Public Intoxication warrant will be sought for him.

6500 Ringgold Road (DUI 21-018199)

Police received a bolo for an intoxicated driver in the Camp Jordan area. Police located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. Valaree Burkhart was arrested for DUI.

4150 Ringgold Road (Arrest 21-018187)

Police were dispatched to this address regarding an intoxicated party. Holly Anderson was arrested for Public Intoxication and Resisting Stop Halt Frisk.
