Police Briefs for Dec. 28

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”

December 23 – Day Shift

3984 Ringgold Road (suspicious activity):

An older male went into the Stop N Go store and placed almost all of the store’s beef jerky sticks on the counter along with a two liter Coke. The clerk thought it was strange and called police after the male subject made several odd remarks. The clerk then sold almost $200 of beef jerky to the man who then left. The man had earlier been in a disorder with employees of Choo Choo Barbeque over a potential meat purchase. (21-018476)

3992 Ringgold Road (suspicious activity):

Vincent Ezell entered the Olive Branch and would not comply with the manager’s request to order at the store’s counter. Instead, he sat down at a table and insisted they wait on him at the table. After being uncooperative and unruly with the manager, he was asked to leave but he refused. Police arrived, and Ezell still refused to leave. He was taken into custody for criminal trespassing. December 23 – Night Shift

4214 Ringgold Rd (Warrant Service 21-018486): 

Hope Barber was arrested on an East Ridge warrant at Silverdale.                                                                                                                               

4214 Ringgold Rd (Warrant Service 21-018491):

Michael Hullender was arrested on East Ridge warrants at Silverdale.

4214 Ringgold Rd (Stolen Tag Recovery 21-014214):

Jessica Shaw was arrested in Cherokee County Alabama for being in possession of a stolen tag. The tag was originally stolen off a vehicle in East Ridge.

1400 John Ross Road (Arrest 21-018506)

Police were dispatched to this area regarding a male party walking in the middle of the road. Upon arrival, Police encountered Joshua Jones, who was very intoxicated. Mr. Jones was taken into custody for Public Intoxication.

1500 Burns Avenue (Arrest 21-018513):

Bautista Domingo was taken into custody during a traffic stop for violation of conditions of release. He was also issued traffic citations.

6105 Ringgold Rd (Evading/Warrant Service 21-018481):

Amanda Durham was arrested for Evading Arrest, Simple Possession and Hamilton County warrants after she fled on foot from a three-car crash and hid in nearby Popeye’s.

3400 Lisa Dr (Arrest 21-018512):

Sharonda Bonds was taken into custody for Simple Possession of Schedule I, Driving While Suspended and Evading Arrest following a traffic stop.

3400 Lisa Dr (Warrant Service 21-018514)

Michael Massingill was taken into custody on an East Ridge Alias Capias warrant for Driving on Suspended.

December 24 – Day Shift

21-018521- 4135 East Ridge Drive- Suspicious Activity

The caller advised her security camera had been moved and no one should be at the residence. The house was secure, and the camera was found on the ground. It did not appear to have been tampered.

21-018525- 3600 blk of Fountain Avenue- Shots Fired

Several callers advised of hearing approximately four gun shots in the area. Police spoke to several witnesses and were advised an older blue pick-up truck was observed driving through the area when the shots were heard. Two .9mm shell casings were found in the street. There is no other suspect information.

21-018533- 3511 Ringgold Road- Hold up Alarm/Disorder

Cartereyus Garrett was issued a criminal trespass warning for the property following a disorder with management.

21-018539- 1200 block John Ross Road- Disorder

The caller advised an intoxicated family member was causing a disorder. Melissa Renshaw was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and transported to Silverdale.

December 24 – Night Shift

21-08576 1200 block Laredo Avenue / Traffic Stop / Arrest

Police conducted a traffic stop on a 2007 Cadillac Escalade. The driver, identified as Kristopher Troope, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and possession of marijuana for resale after police located approximately one pound of marijuana in the vehicle.

3710 Ringgold Rd / Arrest: 21-018574

Dewonne Heathington was taken into custody following a traffic stop at this location for possession of narcotics and tampering with evidence.

21-018575: 6514 Ringgold Rd (Narcotics Arrest/ Misd. Citation)

A suspicious vehicle was observed at the Mapco. Contact was made with the driver, James Crockett, who was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia

21-018577: 6514 Ringgold Rd (Narcotics Arrest/AOA)

A suspicious vehicle was observed at the Mapco. Contact was made with the occupants, Ashley Craig and Christopher Bradley. Methamphetamine was found on Bradley, and a search of the vehicle and Craig resulted in the discovery of Roxicodone, fentanyl, marijuana, and methamphetamine. Bradley was also found to have a warrant out of Walker County. Both parties were taken into custody and transported to Silverdale.

December 25 – Day Shift

21-018583- Bloom Road @ Ellis Avenue- Suspicious People

The caller advised of two males sitting on a bean bag chair next to the road and possibly drinking.  The males were not drinking. They decided to move along.

21-018589- 1417 Saint Thomas Street- Delayed Assault

A female subject stated her cousin’s daughter was assaulted by her mother the prior evening while staying at this motel.  Juvenile stated her mother struck her with a closed fist in the jaw, neck and back and then held her on the floor for 20 minutes. She advised when she was finally released, she was trying to walk, but was dizzy. Juvenile stated she called her father to come get her, which he did. The mother of the juvenile was not on scene to discuss the incident. Based on the verbal and written statement(s), by the Juvenile, her mother’s actions exceed the level of parental discipline and rise to the level of assault. According to Juvenile, her mother has five other children ranging in age from nine to one, who were all present during the assault.  Juvenile stated she, her mother and siblings are homeless sometimes sleeping in her mother’s vehicle. The complainant stated there are several CPS cases concerning the mother’s treatment of the children.

                                              December 25 – Night Shift

 

3839 Ringgold Road, Kingwood Auto Sales / Misc Report-Property Damage 

Police responded to a delayed crash at this location and completed a miscellaneous incident report in reference to two vehicles on the property being struck by another vehicle during the day.  21-018591

6600 Ringgold Rd / Arrest-Drugs 

Erica Thomas was taken into custody following a traffic stop at this location. Thomas was found to be in possession of Schedule II and Schedule I narcotics, she was charged accordingly. 21-018600

4200 Ringgold Road / Arrest-Warrant 

Ashanti Y. Elliot was arrested on East Ridge warrants for Alias/Capias (Driving on Suspended and Driving on Suspended.  21-018602

West Side Drive @ East 29th Street / Arrest-DUI 

Dayner Saul Gonzalez Robkero was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop near the tunnels.  21-018605
