Jan. 20 Police Briefs

The following information was compiled from “pass along reports” furnished by the East Ridge Police Department.

Jan. 18 Day Shift

22-000796- 3623 Ringgold Road- Burglary in Progress

The caller advised he heard a noise in the attic of the business and felt someone was attempting to break in. On scene police checked the attic and observed a cat leaving the building.

22-000802- East Ridge Avenue @ Ringgold Road- Broken Down Auto

A passerby called to report a black jeep at this location out of gas. On scene police assisted the driver with getting gas and sent them on their way.

22-000803- 400 block Donaldson Road- Unknown Trouble/Unknown 911

The caller called 911 on a 911 only phone and advised the neighbors were spraying pesticide in her apartment to cause her discomfort. On scene police spoke with the caller and found her to possibly be suffering a substance induced paranoia.

22-000804- 1410 Mack Smith Road- Auto Theft

The caller advised someone stole their vehicle from the parking lot. On scene police determined the vehicle had been repossessed.

No number assigned- Burns Avenue @ State Line Road- AOA

Catoosa County SO requested assistance with locating a juvenile on Everglades Drive. The juvenile was reported to be an escapee from a detention center in Nashville. Officers responded with Catoosa and located the juvenile.

 Night Shift

4150 Ringgold Road / Theft

The complainant reported a phone she listed on Facebook Market Place was stolen from her by a female with dreads.  The female left in a silver sedan.  22-000822

6401 Ringgold Road / Arrest-DUI

Robert Huskey was arrested for DUI and Possession of a Firearm While Under the Influence.  22-000831

5394 Reneau Way / Suspicious Vehicle

Caller reported an older Nissan Altima driving in and out of a driveway and through the neighborhood.  A check of the area did not locate anything.  22-000833

Dick graduated from ERHS in 1976 before going on to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he studied Political Science. He was among reporters who were honored by the Associated Press for the TFP's coverage of the 2002 fog-shrouded crash on I-75 in Catoosa County, Dick and his wife, Cathy, live on Marlboro Avenue where they are seen frequently chasing around their three grandsons.
