Police Briefs for Feb. 22

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”

February 20 – Day Shift

22-002393- Key West Avenue @ Springvale Road- Road Hazard-

The caller advised of a dead deer in the roadway. Animal Control was contacted. They advised they would respond sometime tomorrow to pick up the animal. It was removed from the roadway.

22-002397- 950 Spring Creek Road- Unknown 911-

Dispatch advised of a phase two 911 call coming from the apartment complex (unknown apartment number). The call was from a 911 only phone and a child was heard laughing. On scene police checked the area with no emergencies located.

22-002399- 929 Spring Creek Road- AOA Warrant Service-

Joseph McCarty was detained on an extraditable warrant out of Fort Oglethorpe Georgia. He was transported to Silverdale without incident.

February 20 – Night Shift

900 S. Seminole Drive / Arrest-Drugs: 

Carrie A. Peterson was arrested for Possession of Schedule 1, Possession of Meth, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving on Revoked for DUI, after being stopped for an expired registration.  Ms. Peterson also had a warrant out of Soddy Daisy for Shoplifting.  22-002417

1100 McBrien Road / Misdemeanor Citation-Unlawful Possession of a Firearm: 

Isaiah McCallum was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm following a traffic stop at this location.  22-002419

Germantown Road / Misdemeanor Citation-Simple Possession of Marijuana: 

Elizabeth Maycann was charged with simple possession following a traffic stop at this location.  22-002412

6500 Ringgold Road / Arrest-Drugs: 

Amanda Hayes was taken into custody for Possession of Schedule II for resale and possession of drug paraphernalia at this location following a traffic stop. 22-002408

Dick graduated from ERHS in 1976 before going on to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he studied Political Science. He was among reporters who were honored by the Associated Press for the TFP's coverage of the 2002 fog-shrouded crash on I-75 in Catoosa County, Dick and his wife, Cathy, live on Marlboro Avenue where they are seen frequently chasing around their three grandsons.
