May 3 Police Briefs

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along” reports.

April 28 – Day Shift

1410 Mack Smith Road (auto theft):

The complainant reported the theft of his gold 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt from the Budgetel by his estranged girlfriend. The complainant is also the petitioner in an active order of protection against her through Catoosa County where she possibly has numerous warrants. (22-005917)

5400 block Marion Avenue (warrant service):

A juvenile was arrested on an outstanding juvenile attachment. (no number)

6642 Ringgold Road (arrest):

Jane Doe was arrested for public intoxication while causing a disorder at the Econolodge Motel. (22-005929)

April 28 – Night Shift

1410 Mack Smith Road (Disorder 22-005946):

Police were alerted that a man needed help at the Budgetel. Upon arrival police found an intoxicated couple who were in a disorder. The male claimed his partner pushed him out of his wheelchair but she claimed he fell. The male was ultimately transported to a local hospital and police were unable to determine a primary aggressor.

6300 Ringgold Rd (Narcotics Arrest 22-005952):

Leslie Ross was arrested for Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana, and multiple traffic offenses following a traffic stop at this location.

4214 Ringgold Rd (Warrant Service 22-005926):

Kevon Johnson was served with an outstanding East Ridge warrant at the Hamilton County Jail.

3222 Gleason Dr (Evading 22-005948):

A light blue Hyundai sedan bearing TN tag 6Z87F1 fled from police following an attempted traffic stop. Chattanooga Police attempted to contact the registered owner at his residence but were unsuccessful.

 April 29 – Day Shift

 22-005962- 1503 McDonald Road- Aggravated Domestic Assault-

The caller advised she was assaulted by her boyfriend. On scene police spoke with a woman. She told police that she and her child’s father stayed at the Waverly Motel last night. She advised the two had been in a minor argument at approximately 0600 hours this date at which time she left the room and went to the gas station. When she returned he attacked her. She was evaluated on scene by EMS but refused transport. Chattanooga Police Department located the boyfriend at his address, where he was detained. He denied any assault had taken place and states the two have only been involved in an argument. He was arrested for aggravated domestic assault and transported to the Hamilton County Jail with no issue.

22-005964- 1410 Mack Smith Road- AOA Warrant Service/Arrest-

Jason Chubb was arrested and charged with possession of schedule four, possession of methamphetamine, and driving on revoked (DUI) following a traffic stop at this location. He was also found to have several warrants from other agencies.

22-005966- 3636 Ringgold Road- Theft-

The caller advised sometime between 2000 hours 4-26 and 0914 hours today, someone took several thousand dollars’ worth of 24-foot metal studs from the construction site at Food City. On scene police spoke with the caller. The suspect(s) are unknown.

22-005977- 1410 Mack Smith Road- Fight-

The caller advised multiple people in room 2209 were fighting. On scene police were directed to room 2209. From the hallway police could hear multiple parties yelling inside the room and a possible struggle. Nathan Ward and Trevor McDaniel were found with injuries consistent with fighting. Both declined prosecution. Staff for the Budgetel requested that Ward be issued a criminal trespass warning to which he was issued by police. Following his release by police, Ward left the scene in a private vehicle driven by a witness.

5984- 100 block Kingwood Drive- Domestic Assault-

Roger Powers was arrested and charged with domestic assault following a fight with his wife.

April 29 – Night Shift

6401 Ringgold Road/ DUI (22-006012):

Jermel McKenzie was arrested for DUI, possession of a handgun while intoxicated, and simple possession of marijuana after he was observed asleep behind the wheel blocking the drive-thru of McDonald’s.

1400 West End Ave/DUI (22-006005)

Isabela Aguilar Paiz was arrested for DUI at this location following a traffic stop.

1410 Mack Smith Road/Drug para. (22-006014)

A woman was issued a misdemeanor citation in lieu of arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia following suspicious activity at this location.
