Authorities File Charges in Shirl Jo Shooting

East Ridge Police have filed charges of Attempted Murder and Especially Aggravated Robbery in relation to the March 25 late afternoon shooting of a 16-year-old victim on Shirl Jo Lane.

According to an ERPD press release, two juveniles have been charged thus far and their names will not be released. As of Monday morning, the suspects were not in custody.

The press release goes on to state that the investigation benefited from team work and cooperative efforts between ERPD Patrol Division, ERPD Criminal Investigation Division, ERPD Crime Suppression Unit, Chattanooga Police Department, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, and Hamilton County District Attorney’s Office.

The charges were filed on March 29 at Hamilton County Juvenile Court. The investigation is continuing.
