East Ridge Falls to Lookout Valley in High School Baseball

Lookout Valley got eight runs in the third to hand East Ridge a 16-6 loss in high school baseball, Thursday at the valley.

The loss snapped a two-game winning streak by the Pioneers and gives them an overall record of 2-6. On Monday East Ridge will host Brainerd in a double-header.

Justin Tiller went 2-for-3 with a homer and knocked in two runs. Isaac King went 2-for-4, while Zecharia Smart had two base hits and stole two bases.

Dick Cook has lived in East Ridge since the Kennedy Administration when his parents bought a house on Marietta Street. Dick graduated from ERHS in 1976 before going on to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he studied Political Science. He was among reporters who were honored by the Associated Press for the TFP's coverage of the 2002 fog-shrouded crash on I-75 in Catoosa County, Dick and his wife, Cathy, live on Marlboro Avenue where they are seen frequently chasing around their three grandsons.
