ERPD Investigating Stabbing

East Ridge police arrested a man Monday morning who they believe is responsible for the stabbing of another man at the Roadway Inn in the 6600 block of Ringgold Road.

According to officials, the victim, whose name is not being released at this time, sustained serious “but not life threatening” injuries during the incident, which was reported at about 1o:30 a.m.

Officials said the suspect was located on the property and taken into custody without incident. The weapon, along with some drugs were also found, officials said.

The investigation is in its early stages, officials said.
