September 6, 2025 By Contributed Article Leave a Comment

During the early morning hours of Saturday, at approximately 1:45 am, deputies attempted a traffic stop on a white Chevy Impala near the 5400 block of Highway 58. The vehicle fled, initiating a pursuit which would cover multiple roadways before the pursuit was temporarily terminated. The vehicle was located again approximately ten minutes later, leading to a second pursuit where the suspect rammed two patrol cars.

This pursuit continued with the suspect traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of I-75 before crashing into the median near mile marker 353 on northbound I-75. The driver, Dekendrick Trammell, fled on foot, but was apprehended without further incident.

Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office took custody of the suspect and will be filing felony charges. The suspect will also have multiple charges from the HCSO in relation to this incident.
