Day Shift April 25
25-004353-3900 BLK Ringgold Road-Crash – Police responded to the gas station after a red Toyota minivan crashed into the front of the store, damaging a window and window frame. The driver stated to Police that he did not take his prescribed medication for his blood sugar, the driver was cleared on scene by East Ridge Fire personnel and denied going to the hospital for evaluation. The driver was given a courtesy ride to his address in Chattanooga.
25-004362 – 5300 BLK Spriggs Street – Suspicious Person – Police responded to the area of Spriggs Street and Dupont Street after concerned residents observed a male wearing a black jacket and tan pants walking around a home and taking pictures. Police encountered the party as described by the complainants walking westbound on Dupont St. When confronted by police about his actions, the man appeared oblivious to the residents’ concerns about his behavior, stating that he did not see a reason to not enter others’ property since there was no “No Trespassing” signs or fencing prohibiting his movement. The subject’s information was documented, and he was sent on his way.
25-004365- 4214 Ringgold Road- Warrant Service – Catoosa County got out with a man who had an active forfeiture capias out of East Ridge. An inmate hold was faxed to the Catoosa County Jail.
Night Shift April 25
25-004368 – 3600 BLK Maiden Dr – Miscellaneous – A woman was arrested on two East Ridge warrants for theft of property and aggravated burglary.
25-004379 – 5300 BLK Ringgold Rd – Unconscious/ Arrest – A man was found unconscious in his vehicle. Officers located drug paraphernalia on his person and in the car. He was cited and released for the misdemeanor.
Day Shift April 26
25-004385-1600 BLK Hope Lane-Animal Call – Police assisted East Ridge Animal Services with recovering a dog that had been abandoned at the listed location.
25-004393 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Road – Arrest / Shoplifting – The complainant contacted ERPD about a shoplifter. He stated that a male had stolen a bottle of NyQuil and was currently walking down Tombras Ave. ERPD located the suspect walking down the sidewalk. The suspect identified himself and immediately stated he was sorry for committing the crime and would pay for the item. He handed officers the bottle of NyQuil. While he was being detained a strong odor of alcohol was coming from his breath along with slurred speech. He was taken into custody and charged with Public Intoxication and Shoplifting.
25-004394 – 4214 Ringgold Rd – Warrant Service – A man was taken into custody for original charges by Chattanooga Police Department and served East Ridge Warrants after being taken to Hamilton County Jail.
Night Shift April 26
25-004404-3400 BLK Betty Lane- Burglary in Progress – Police responded to the listed address for a reported burglary in progress. The caller reported a silver sedan sitting in the driveway of an apartment that Codes Enforcement recently condemned. Officers located a man in his vehicle, outside the residence. He was detained pending further on-scene investigation. After police ran the party’s information, it was found that he had a valid arrest warrant out of Catoosa County. Officers determined that he did not gain entry to the apartment and did not locate any evidence of him attempting to gain entry. He was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County jail without incident.
25-004410 – 53OO BLK Ringgold Road – Theft – Employees reported that two females came into the store. One distracted the employee while the other grabbed a purse containing approximately $1,200 cash.
Day Shift April 27
25-004435 – 6100 BLK Ringgold Rd- Traffic/Warrant Service – Police initiated a traffic stop on a Jeep Wrangler at the above address for a minor traffic violation. The driver was found to have extraditable warrants out of Dade County for probation violation. He was transported to Hamilton County Jail for extradition.
Night Shift April 27
25-004445-5080 S Terrace – Armed- not threatening/ Arrest – Officers received a call regarding two males and two females going into the movie theater. A witness claimed that one of the males had a firearm in his waistband. Officers located the parties inside the theater. Once the males saw the police, they attempted to flee on foot. The men were caught and detained. Officers discovered both males were juveniles. Officers located the firearm in the bushes where the juveniles had hidden it. The gun, a Springfield 9 mm, was loaded with one round in the chamber and confirmed stolen out of Soddy Daisy, TN.
25-004458-6700 BLK Ringgold Rd- Suspicious person – Officers located a known mental health consumer acting erratically and in possession of a sword. Officers spoke with him and took custody of the sword for safekeeping. He was informed that he could retrieve the sword from the police department later.
Day Shift April 28
25-004492 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Animal Cruelty – Police were dispatched to a dog locked in a vehicle with the windows slightly cracked. The dog appeared to be in distress. Officers were able to locate the owner at a nearby doctor’s office. She was issued a misdemeanor citation and sent on her way.
25-004469 – 900 BLK S Seminole- Assist Citizen – Police spoke with the complainant who stated she possibly had bugs (Audio Recording Devices) in her apartment and wanted police to check.
25-004496 – 900 BLK Donaldson Road – Assault – Police spoke with the caller who stated she was assaulted by a party. The RP stated the suspect had used a small knife in the assault. Officers were provided video footage of the assault which showed the reporting party being the primary aggressor in the assault. They were cited with a misdemeanor citation. No knife was visible in the video. Multiple other witnesses stated that the caller was the one who started the altercation.
Night Shift April 28
25-004512 – 5700 BLK State Line Rd – Traffic Stop / Arrest – An officer observed a red Dodge Dakota driving recklessly and initiated a traffic stop. During a roadside investigation, Police located multiple open containers of liquor in the vehicle and determined the driver was intoxicated. He was taken into custody and charged with Driving Under the Influence.
25-004517 – 6900 BLK Moreview Road – Domestic Assault / Arrest – Officers responded to a disorder after neighbors heard a woman screaming. On scene, Police determined that a man and his girlfriend had been in a heated argument inside the residence. The woman was intoxicated and emptied a small pepper spray can into the man’s face. She then broke a window in the residence. Police arrested her and charged her with Simple Assault (Domestic).
