Day Shift December 23 : A Squad
25-013181 – 800 BLK Summit Avenue – Well Being Check – Police were approached by a woman who requested a well-being check on her aunt and son. She was concerned that a party murdered them because she saw clothing and jewelry in a dumpster off Brainerd Road. Police contacted the aunt who advised she had not been murdered. She advised the son was in the Navy, stationed in Maryland, and also not murdered. The aunt went on to say that she’d been in contact with the reporting party and that she may be confused about the welfare of their family but assured us she would speak with her.
25-013166 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Rd. – Domestic Disorder – Police were dispatched to the motel regarding a male and a female yelling at each other. On arrival police contacted the female. She advised her husband was having a schizophrenic episode. The woman exited the room and the man closed the door and barricaded himself inside. A Crisis negotiator was dispatched to the scene and was successful in getting him to exit. The party was taken into protective custody and committed on a Certificate of Need.
25-013172 – 1000 BLK Bass Pro Dr.- Pedestrian Struck – Police were dispatched after a female reported being hit by a truck. On scene, the female denied EMS and police observed light bruising to her left elbow. The female stated she was attempting to cross the street using the crosswalk when the truck turned the corner and did not stop. She denied wanting to press charges. Police attempted to locate the vehicle via security camera. However, the camera facing the incident location was not operating as intended.
25-013170 – 1600 BLK Rugby Place – Unconscious Person – Officers tended to a patient until EMS arrived on scene. The female had been injured in a fall and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Night Shift December 23: C Squad
25-013185 – 200 BLK Eads Street – Motor Vehicle Crash / Property Damage – Police responded to the report of a commercial vehicle striking a fire hydrant. Officers found that tractor trailer ran over a fire hydrant and a stop sign while attempting to turn on a residential intersection. Police also found the vehicle was stuck and required a Class A wrecker to move it. The Fire Department responded to the location and inspected the damaged fire hydrant.
25-013186 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service – While in custody at the Hamilton County Jail, a party was served with two Alias Capias arrest warrants through the City of East Ridge. The charges for both capias warrants were Driving on a Suspended License.
25-013202 – 4300 BLK Esterbrook Drive – Domestic Disorder – Police responded to the report of a female striking her boyfriend across the face. While en route, police learned the female left the residence on foot. Police officers located the female down the road from the residence and found she was exhibiting suicidal ideations. Officers also spoke with the alleged victim and found he was highly intoxicated. While speaking with police, the victim gave contradicting details for the incident and provided no evidence of a recent assault. The female subject was transported to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation. No criminal charges were filed for the incident.
