The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department.

Day Shift December 5: B Squad

25-012610 – 3700 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder/Civil Matter – Police responded to the restaurant after a female called 911, gave the location, and became disconnected. Officers found the caller was upset due to her order not being made to her satisfaction on the previous day and the employees provided little empathy or remedy for her situation. The caller was advised to contact the manager to satisfy her complaint.

25-012611-5300 BLK Ringgold Road-Harassment – The caller reported to the police that he believed the dashcam footage he had of random vehicles driving by him in traffic was a setup by his ex to harass him. The party was advised that this did not meet the statute for harassment and was advised to seek a protection order against his ex, should he feel the need.

Night Shift December 5: D Squad

25-012618- 5700 BLK Roper Road- Assist Other Agency – Police were informed by the Chattanooga Police Department that a party with an active warrant and pending charges was last located in the 6500 block of Ringgold Road. Police attempted to locate the vehicle he was last seen in. ERPD located the vehicle at his mother’s apartment at the address above. Police surrounded the apartment and were able to observe the suspect inside through a window. Officers made contact at the front door of the residence and ordered all the occupants outside. Police then gave verbal commands to the suspect to exit. After multiple commands, he exited the apartment and was taken into custody. He was very uncooperative with the police on scene and in the back of the car.

25-012622 – 6100 BLK Ringgold Road – Narcotics Violation – A woman was taken into custody during a traffic stop on Hamilton County warrants for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Drug Paraphernalia. While being searched at the jail, corrections officers discovered two glass crack pipes and a substance consistent with crack cocaine concealed on her person. She was subsequently charged with Possession of Cocaine, Tampering with Evidence, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

25-012624- 3600 BLK Shirl Jo Lane-Evading Arrest – After a traffic stop, police obtained the current Conditions of Release for this party and returned to the home to arrest him. While police were at the front door, he jumped from the second-story window into the backyard of the apartment and ran off in an unknown direction, evading arrest. Police deployed a drone to locate the suspect in the woods but were unable to locate any parties. Warrants have been obtained for Violation of an Order of Protection and Evading Arrest.

25-012627- South Seminole at Bennet Road- DUI Arrest – Police conducted a traffic stop on a grey truck after observing it failing to maintain its lane. The officer spoke with the driver and smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage while speaking with him. Police then conducted Standardized Field Sobriety testing. The driver was ultimately charged with Driving Under the Influence, 1st offense.

25-012628 – Ringgold Road @ Camp Jordan Parkway – Traffic Stop – Officers conducted a traffic stop on a black Mercedes sedan at the above intersection after observing it run the red light. Officers smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, and an occupant admitted there was marijuana in the center-console. Officers conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle and located three small bags of marijuana. During a probable cause search, officers located a large amount of cash, which the possessor estimated to be $14,000. When asked what he did for work, he stated that he transports things. The man was found to have an extensive criminal history with several violent felony arrests. Additionally, he had active warrants out of Ohio with surrounding state pickup only. The other party was allowed to put out the marijuana, and the male was released with a warning citation. A miscellaneous report will be completed to document the incident.

Day Shift December 6: B Squad

25-012637- 4200 BLK Ringgold Road- Traffic Stop/ Arrest – A traffic stop was conducted, but the driver failed to provide any identifying information. The driver’s story and information given was inconsistent, and unable to be confirmed. The driver was taken into custody for driving without a license. He was booked into the Hamilton County Jail as a John Doe pending FBI AFIS confirmation.

Night Shift December 6: D Squad

25-012654 – 3900 BLK Ringgold Rd – DUI / Arrest – A gray Honda was observed speeding, failing to maintain its lane, cutting off another vehicle, and almost causing a crash. ERPD attempted to stop the vehicle by activating emergency lights, and the vehicle continued to travel from the 3900 block of Ringgold Road until it finally stopped at the intersection of South Seminole and Ringgold Road. ERPD attempted to give verbal commands for the driver to step out. The driver was not obeying verbal commands, so ERPD approached the vehicle. Several open containers could be observed in the cup holder and the floorboard of the vehicle. The driver was still not obeying commands to exit the vehicle and started to resist the ERPD officers. ERPD conducted a drive stun on the suspect, and it was successful in getting the suspect out of the vehicle. The driver was taken into custody and charged with DUI, Resisting Stop Halt Frisk, Reckless Driving, Speeding, Failure to Maintain Lane, and Open Container. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.

25-012657-6400 BLK Ringgold Road- Unconscious Person – Police were dispatched after a caller reported a driver passed out in the drive-through line. Upon arrival, officers located a white Jeep Wrangler with the driver asleep behind the wheel and unresponsive. Officers attempted to remove the party from the vehicle, at which point he became resistant and pulled away from officers. A drive stun with a TASER was deployed, allowing officers to gain control and detain him. Following the investigation, the man was arrested for Resisting Stop, Halt, and Frisk. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without further incident.

Day Shift December 7: B Squad

25-012659-1200 BLK John Ross Road-Domestic Assault – The victim met with officers at the East Ridge PD to report that her now ex-boyfriend had grabbed her by the throat, punched her in the face multiple times, and attacked her with a belt after they had broken up, and attempted to gather her belongings and leave. She also stated that he took her phone from her when she attempted to call 911 and had held her in the residence until her mother arrived on scene. Police were unable to locate the suspect at his residence. Warrants for Aggravated domestic assault, false imprisonment, and interference with emergency calls are pending.

Night Shift December 7: D Squad

25-012676 – 300 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Suspicious Activity – Police responded to the above address for a report of someone screaming near the kayak launch. Officers encountered two bicyclists near the kayak launch who also reported hearing someone screaming in the area. Officers canvassed the area and did not locate anyone in distress.

Day Shift December 8: A Squad

25-012682- 4300 BLK Ringgold Road- Suspicious Vehicle – During routine patrol, police observed a male sleeping in his vehicle in front of the business. An officer spoke with the occupant who advised he had recently become homeless. Police provided him with a bag of essentials after checking him for warrants.

25-012694-300 BLK Dunlap- Theft from vehicle – The caller reported that his TN registration was stolen between 12/5/25-12/8/2025. No suspect information currently.

Night Shift December 8: C Squad

25-012705 – 4100 BLK Eastway Terrace – Burglary in Progress – A resident called the 911 Dispatch Center stating an unknown person was attempting to enter his home through the front door. ERPD responded to the scene and found that no one was actively breaking into the home. Upon further investigation, Police determined that the reporting party’s mother, who was also a resident of the home, was attempting to enter her house through the front door.

25-012709 – 6700 Ringgold Road – Assist Other Agency – The Soddy Daisy Police Department requested assistance in locating a cell phone at the gas station on Ringgold Road. East Ridge Police responded to the location and found the cell phone inside the business. Officers also found that the cell phone was tied to a missing person’s case out of Soddy Daisy. A supervisor with the SDPD responded and took possession of the phone.

25-012710 – 5000 BLK Delaware Drive – Structure Fire – Police Officers along with members of the East Ridge Fire Department (ERFD) responded to the report of a residential fire. On scene, first responders did not observe any visible flames or smoke outside of the building. Inside the home, they found a lot of smoke and the residents were immediately evacuated. ERFD investigated the incident and there were no reported injuries.

25-012714 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – While in custody at the Hamilton County Jail, a woman was served with an arrest warrant for Theft of Property. Police also found that she had several similar arrest warrants through other jurisdictions.

25-012715 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – While in custody at the Hamilton County Jail, a party was served with a Forfeiture Capias warrant through the City of East Ridge. The original charge on the capias was Theft Over $2,500.
