Law and Order Feb. 24

Day Shift February 20: B Squad

Night Shift February 20 : C Squad

26-001589 – 6800 BLK Beulah Drive – Noise Complaint – A neighbor reported a tree service contractor was working nearby and making too much noise. The reporting party requested for the contractor to be a little quieter so he could eat his dinner in peace. Police spoke with the tree service operator and found he would be finished well before 2200 hours. ERPD found no violations of State Laws or City Ordinances.

26-001597 – 1000 BLK McHann Drive – Disorder with a Weapon / Arrest – Police Officers responded to a Disorder with a Weapon at this residence. The caller stated his brother-in-law began running at him with a kitchen knife. He also reported that the suspect vandalized a family member’s vehicle. Several family members were on scene and corroborated the account of the incident. Police also found the subject to be highly intoxicated on alcoholic beverages. He was arrested and charged with Aggravated Domestic Assault, Vandalism, Public Intoxication, and Disorderly Conduct.

26-001598 – 500 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Assault in Progress / Arrest – Police Officers were dispatched to a fight in the parking lot of the restaurant. ERPD found out that the fight was over but located one of the involved individuals and identified him. The man denied starting the altercation; however, several witnesses labeled him as the aggressor in the fight. Police found the other person involved in the incident had left the scene and could not be located. Due to the man’s heightened intoxication level, he was taken into custody and charged with Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct.

26-001602 –3400 BLK Lisa Drive– Arrest for Other Agency – Police Officers determined that a man had a felony probation warrant through Hamilton County. The original charge for the warrant was Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. Police Officers located the subject at his residence, and he was taken into custody without incident.

26-001605 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Unconscious Person – Police responded to the report of an unconscious person at the restaurant. Employees reported that a male driver in a black Volkswagen SUV appeared to be unconscious and his car was idling in the drive through lane. Upon further investigation, Police determined that the man was sleep deprived and fell asleep waiting in line. He was allowed to call a friend to give him a ride home.

Day Shift February 21: A Squad

26-001610 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Vehicle – While on routine patrol, officers observed a silver Nissan Rogue with fogged windows behind the motel. Officers approached the vehicle and contacted the two occupants. An officer observed a red cut straw in plain view located on the driver’s seat. A probable cause search was conducted and approximately 11 grams of methamphetamine, a syringe with .5 ml of suspected methamphetamine and a plethora of drug paraphernalia were discovered. Both were checked by dispatch, and one came back with a verified warrant out of Red Bank for theft. The other came back with warrants out of Walker County for three counts of child molestation. Both were taken into custody and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Drug Paraphernalia. One was also charged with Disorderly conduct. Both parties were transported to jail without incident.

26-001613 – 6400 BLK Ringgold Road – Crash with Injuries/Disorder – Police were informed of a disorder occurring at the drive-through, where a driver, according to the reporting party, was ramming his car into the other car. When police arrived, both parties were in a calm state. The driver, who was “ramming” in his car, was possibly having a medical emergency and was transported for further medical evaluation.

26-001617 – 3200 BLK Westonia Drive – Extortion – The caller reported to the police that he had been communicating with a woman named who threatened to post a video on social media allegedly showing him abusing a minor unless he sent her money. On the same day, the caller sent her $100, but the woman demanded $5,000 more. He showed officers the video, which is known to be part of an extortion scheme. ERPD advised him to block the party and to stop sending money.

Night Shift February 21 : C Squad

26-001622 – 700 BLK Germantown Circle– Disorder / Mentally Disturbed – Police responded to a disorder at the Germantown Garden Apartments. A resident reported that a male with mental health issues was having a severe episode. The resident stated the man was breaking furniture and throwing things at the walls. Police Officers were able to de-escalate the individual and coerce him out of the apartment. The male was then transported to a local hospital for a medical evaluation.

26-001623 – 6500 BLK Slater Road – Traffic stop / Arrest for Other Agency – Police Officers initiated a traffic stop with a Ford Focus due to a violation of the Hands-Free Law. The driver was identified determined to have an arrest warrant for theft through Hamilton County Sessions Court. She was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.

26-001624 – 500 BLK Donaldson Road– Domestic Disorder / Arrest – The caller reported that her ex-boyfriend was stalking her and requested Police assistance. She reported that he was continually calling her and knocking on the door and window of her apartment. ERPD found that he was criminally trespassed from the apartment for a similar incident on February 16, 2026. Later in the evening, the woman called the 911 Dispatch Center and stated that he was following her on South Germantown Road. A Chattanooga Police Officer located him near her vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. East Ridge Police responded to the location and took custody. He was then transported to the Hamilton County Jail and charged with Stalking.

26-001631 – 500 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Traffic Stop / DUI Arrest – Police observed a gray Nissan sedan failing to maintain lane and initiated a traffic stop. Upon further investigation, officers determined that the male driver was highly intoxicated. He was taken into custody for Driving Under the Influence and was transported to Hamilton County Jail.

26-001634 – 5500 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft – Police responded to the report of a theft at the coin laundry. The caller reported that an unknown male stole a backpack off his bike. Witnesses on scene stated the suspect left in a blue vehicle, possibly a Nissan or Toyota sedan. Police will follow-up with the business owner to obtain video surveillance footage of the incident.

26-001635 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / DUI Arrest – Police observed a blue sedan failing to maintain lane while traveling west of Ringgold Road. The officer initiated a traffic stop; however, the sedan continued traveling westbound for several hundred meters before pulling into a parking lot. The driver was identified and found to be highly intoxicated. The man was taken into custody and charged with Driving Under the Influence and Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle.

Day Shift February 22: A Squad

26-001641 – 700 BLK South Sanctuary Rd. – Extortion – Police spoke with a party regarding an unknown male demanding money from him. The unknown male was threating to release explicit photos of the RP to his friends and family if he did not comply. The caller stated he has not given the unknown male money.

Night Shift February 22 : C Squad

26-001646 – 6100 BLK North Mack Smith Road – Road Hazard – A three foot by six-foot sinkhole developed near the intersection of Spring Creek Road and North Mack Smith Road. The East Ridge Street Department was made aware of the situation and will address it as soon as possible. Barricades have been placed around the sink hole to warn motorists.

26-001655 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Assist Other Agency – The Hamilton County Dispatch advised of a THP pursuit with an older model silver Cadillac sedan that was driving recklessly. The pursuit went from I-24 to several streets around North Terrace, Brainerd Road, and Dodds Avenue. Several times, the Cadillac intentionally drove into on-coming traffic. Deputies with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office responded to assist the THP Troopers. East Ridge Police units also staged with spike strips along South Germantown Road, Belvoir Avenue, and Moore Road; however, the suspect vehicle did not travel into East Ridge. THP and HSCO units eventually lost sight of the vehicle and the pursuit was terminated.

Day Shift February 23: B Squad

26-001531- 5300 BLK Dupont Street- Arrest – A woman was taken into custody on outstanding East Ridge warrants for DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, and due care. She was transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.

26-001666- 900 BLK Spring Creek Road- Arrest – A man was taken into custody on two probation Capias warrants out of Hamilton County Sessions Court. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.

26-001679 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Rolling Disorder – A woman reported being followed by white Toyota Tacoma after a possible road rage incident in Georgia. Officers located both vehicles and initiated a traffic stop in the 4200 block of Ringgold Rd. Upon contacting the driver of the white Tacoma, he was argumentative with police while recording the incident. Both parties’ information was verified, and they were separated and sent on their respective journeys.

Night Shift February 23: D Squad

26-001682 – 1500 BLK John Ross Road – Burglary Attempt – Police checked for signs of an attempted burglary from the previous night after the caller reported her lawn edging had been disturbed. No definitive signs of a burglary attempt were observed. The residence was added to a watch list with a request for additional patrols.

26-001685 – 1000 BLK South Seminole Drive – Disorder – A woman was arrested for Vandalism and Reckless Endangerment after she hurled a landscape brick through the window at her ex-boyfriend’s residence.

26-001688- 1400 BLK Mack Smith Road- Suspicious Person – Police were called regarding two males acting suspiciously and appearing to case cars in the hotel parking lot. Police were unable to contact the males in the hotel parking lot, but the front desk employee stated that one male walked across the street. Officers found him and he lied about his name. He was placed into custody and found to possess a pipe with drug residue. He was arrested for Criminal Impersonation and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
