Day Shift January 30 : B Squad

26-000931 – San Hsi / Oakdale Avenue – Traffic Stop/ Warrant Service – Following a traffic stop, police took a man into custody on East Ridge warrants for possession of fentanyl, tampering with evidence, simple possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to Hamilton County Jail.

26-000935-4100 BLK Ringgold Road-Disorder/Arrests – Following a verbal disorder at the listed location, a woman was taken into custody for outstanding warrants out of East Ridge and charged with criminal impersonation after she gave officers on scene a fake name. A man was taken into custody for possession of meth after a search of his person produced the narcotics.

Night Shift January 30 : D Squad

26-000949 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – SIA – East Ridge Police assisted Chattanooga Police with an investigation of an assault. While investigating two people of interest, police observed signs of prostitution and seized drug paraphernalia from a room at the hotel. The investigation is ongoing.

No Number Assigned – 5800 BLK Ringgold Road – Assist Citizen – A burn victim, who was recently released from a hospital, requested assistance getting out of the cold. An officer provided the woman with a courtesy ride to the state line, where they met a Catoosa County deputy who transported the woman to her daughter’s home in Georgia.

Day Shift January 31 : B Squad

26-000967- 6600 BLK Ringgold Road- Back other agency – Officers responded to this location to assist Chattanooga units with the service of Hamilton County warrants. During the warrant service, a bag fell from beneath a suspect’s jacket that contained approximately 4.94 grams of fentanyl and twenty-two individually packaged “dime bags” of marijuana with a total weight of 31.83 grams. A search warrant was later executed for room, which resulted in the seizure of approximately 14.7 grams of suspected methamphetamine, a digital scale, and drug-related paraphernalia.

Night Shift January 31 : D Squad

26-000974- 3900 BLK Weldon Drive- Watch List – Police were called regarding an HVAC unit that appeared to have been tampered with, as if someone was stripping it of wiring. The homeowner requested that her house be added to the watch list.

26-000982- 4000 BLK Patton Edwards Drive- MVC/ DUI (Warrants Pending) – Police responded to a Chevrolet Silverado that had crashed head-on into a tree. Officers found a highly intoxicated man unconscious in the driver’s seat. He was transported to a hospital for further medical evaluation. Police are seeking warrants for driving under the influence and other related traffic charges. A passenger, thought to have fled the scene, was in the yard of the residence. He was evaluated by EMS and released to a responsible party.

26-000985 – 1100 BLK South Seminole Road – MVC/ DUI Arrest – A man was arrested for DUI after he was discovered heavily intoxicated and passed out in his Toyota 4 Runner after crashing it into a residential fence. The party refused medical treatment and was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.

Day Shift February 1 : B Squad

26-000982- 4003 Patton Edwards Drive- Supplement/Firearm Located – Police responded back to the site of a DUI crash from the night prior. The resident located a firearm while cleaning debris from her yard at the crash scene. The firearm was collected.

26-000990 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service – A man was served with a Forfeiture Capias for Driving on Revoked, Suspended or Cancelled License after being contacted by CPD.

26-000993- 4200 BLK Ringgold Road- Arrest – A woman was found to have an active warrant out of Hamilton County General Sessions Court for drug paraphernalia. She was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.

26-000996 – 6700 Ringgold Road – Rolling Disorder – The caller reported being followed by child’s father’s cousin after an incident in Chattanooga. Police contacted both vehicles in the 4200 block of Ringgold Rd, and found the incident revolved around prescription medications. Due to the incident occurring in Chattanooga’s jurisdiction, the call was deferred to CPD.

26-000997-4300 BLK Ringgold Road-LPR Hit/Arrest – Police received an LPR hit on a stolen red Chevy pickup around South Moore and Ringgold Road. Officers located the vehicle in the parking lot of the bar. The subject in possession of the truck was taken into custody for theft of property and transported to Hamilton County jail without issue. The vehicle was recovered at the scene by the owner, and the vehicle was removed from NCIC.

26-001000 6600 BLK Ringgold Rd Econo Lodge – Abandoned Animals – Police are seeking warrants for a female suspect who abandoned four dogs at the hotel.

Night Shift February 1 : D Squad

26-000982-10 BLK Edwards Terrace-Warrant Service – Police executed arrest warrants on a man for driving under the influence, possession of a handgun while intoxicated, and failure to exercise due care. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident. Upon booking, it was determined that this was the man’s second offense of driving under the influence.

26-0001004-900 BLK Harris Drive- Back Fire – Police were dispatched to this address to back ERFD. A fire had spread across the backyard and headed towards the house. Officers contacted the residents inside the home who were thought to be away. ERFD extinguished the fire quickly and saturated the area to prevent a rekindle. The homeowner told police that he cleaned out his fireplace and dumped the ashes and embers in the backyard. It was likely that a hot ember started the fire.

26-001009 – 1600 BLK Keeble Street – Domestic Assault – Officers responded to the above address for a report of a disorder. A woman reported her brother had slapped her. She had injuries consistent with the account. The male suspect was arrested for domestic assault.

Day Shift February 2 : A Squad

26-001020- 5300 Ringgold Road- MVC No Injuries – Police responded to a crash in the 5300 block of Ringgold Road at McBrien Road. Each driver claimed that the other had hit them. No damage was observed on either vehicle. Both parties left the scene.

Night Shift February 2 : C Squad

26-001039 – 5300 BLK Dupont Street – Suspicious Activity / DUI Arrest – Police were notified by multiple callers that a black truck was driving erratically near McBrien Road. Officers checked the area, but the vehicle was not located. A short time later, a citizen reported a suspicious black truck was parked in front of their home. ERPD responded and found a man sleeping in the driver’s seat. Police quickly determined that he was highly intoxicated and located twenty open containers in his vehicle. The suspect was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence, Implied Consent, and Open Container Law.

26-001040 – 300 BLK South Moore Road, Chattanooga – Mental Health – East Ridge and Chattanooga Police Officers responded to the area of S Moore Road and North Terrace to search for a female who was experiencing suicidal ideations. An East Ridge Police Officer located the female on the bridge overlooking the I-24 roadway. After a short conversation, she agreed to be transported by Police to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation.

26-001043 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service – While in custody at the Hamilton County Jail, a man was served with an arrest warrant through the City of East Ridge City. The original charge was Vandalism.
