Day Shift January 13 : B Squad
26-000424 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft – The reporting party claimed her daughter’s medication was stolen from her purse by her rideshare customer during stop at this location on 01/09. She alleged the customer may have entered her purse she left unattended in the floorboard of her vehicle while she was inside of the store. Upon reviewing CCTV surveillance of the time in question, police were unable to verify the claims of visiting the business.
26-000426- 1500 BLK Fruitland Drive- Deceptive Practice – The RP at this residence reported that a scammer contacted her and attempted to pass for being a Hamilton County Sheriff Deputy. The reporting party contacted HCSO, and they confirmed for her it was a scam. The RP did not wish to file a report at this time, but she was appreciative of police checking in on her.
26-000429 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Welfare Check – Police responded to this location for a wellness check and found the subject highly intoxicated and unable to walk or talk. The party was transported by EMS.
26-000431- 400 BLK South Lovell Avenue- Check Hazard – A concerned citizen wanted police to check manhole covers that appeared to have spikes on them in the road. The spikes were checked and determined to be of the consistency of rubber, thus deemed NOT a road hazard. The protrusions are part of the sewer ventilation system.
Night Shift January 13: D Squad
26-000441- 6600 BLK Ringgold Road- Unknown Trouble – ERPD was dispatched to the address above in reference to a female caller whispering to call takers, then texting dispatch saying, “I don’t know what he is going to do, he is scaring me, but I told him we and asked him to stop.” “And I told him if he didn’t reply I’d call the cops” “Bc I’ve gotten scared.” The caller then gave room number 200. Police went to the specified hotel first, and the front desk worker stated they didn’t have a room numbered 200. Police searched the other hotels and found that all rooms “200” were either vacant or not occupied. The persistent officers then returned to the original hotel and searched the second floor, locating a disturbance that matched the one reported by the call takers. Police found an adult male and a female juvenile. Police were able to determine that the man was intoxicated and was in possession of a firearm. The officers disarmed him and found methamphetamine, alcohol, camera equipment, and paraphernalia scattered about the room. The man was taken into custody for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Violent Felony, Custodial Interference, and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor. ERPD Detectives were advised and responded to continue the investigation.
26-000436- 500 BLK Blue Jay Road- Disorder – Police were called to the address by the caretaker who stated that the daughter-in-law had arrived and began yelling at the patient. The caretaker stated that the patient then pushed the daughter-in-law to the ground. The reporting party stated they wanted the daughter-in-law to be removed from the property. Before police arrival, the caller advised that she was no longer a nurse at this location and had left the property.
26-000439- 100 BLK Margareta Lane- Mental Health Threats – Police were called to the address above. The reporting party advised that her best friend’s husband had shown himself into her apartment without permission and began fighting with the female over car keys. Officers arrived on the scene and observed the female party on the floor in the kitchen. Police separated the parties. The wife and the reporting party stated that the male was suicidal and had access to firearms. Based on these facts, the man was transported to the hospital for evaluation and received a misdemeanor citation for aggravated criminal trespass.
26-000440 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant – A woman was taken into custody for a Domestic Assault warrant out of East Ridge while detained during a traffic stop by Chattanooga Police.
