The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department.

Day Shift January 14 : A Squad

26-000449 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Credit Card Fraud – Officers met with the RP at this location in reference to the fraudulent use of her Cash App Card. She advised her wallet had been stolen yesterday and one of her stolen cards was used for fuel. Officers were able to identify the suspect and a warrant for Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card was obtained.

26-000446 – 4200 BLK Dupont Street – Check Wellbeing – A passerby asked officers to check on the resident after observing numerous packages piling up on the front porch for several weeks. On scene, officers observed all the party’s vehicles in the driveway and made several attempts to contact him. Approximately thirty minutes later, the man exited the residence and advised that he was fine.

Night Shift January 14: C Squad

6-000464 – 6500 BLK Burr Street – Suspicious Activity – Residents at this location reported seeing a female looking in their kitchen window. After making eye contact, the female moved out of sight. The residents then heard her attempting to open their back door. The female left when the residents began yelling at her. Police checked the area but could not locate the suspicious person.

26-000471 – 3700 BLK Fountain Avenue– Motor Vehicle Crash / Property Damage – Police Officers responded to the report of a motor vehicle crash at the apartments. Officers found that a vehicle had rolled down a steep embankment and crashed into Building 9. Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and conducted a structural assessment of the building. No one was injured in the crash and the apartment manager responded to survey the damage.

26-000473 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Dumpster Fire – Police and Fire Department personnel responded to the report of a dumpster fire at the site. Officers found the dumpster was fully engulfed, but the flames did not affect other structures in the area. Firefighters arrived on scene and quickly extinguished the fire. The manager was notified of the incident.

26-000475 – 3100 BLK Ellis Avenue– Mentally Disturbed – ERPD was summoned regarding drones flying in the air all day and all night. Police found no drones visible in the sky. Officers attempted to speak with the caller by phone and went to his front door; however, the caller was unwilling to speak with police once they were on scene.
