Day Shift May 30
25-005711 – 1300 BLK San Hsi Drive – Aggravated Criminal Trespass – The caller reported that her juvenile daughter’s ex-boyfriend broke into their residence. Once inside, he allegedly hung around the living room for approximately thirty minutes without speaking to anyone, and no one in the home confronted him or called the police. The resident provided video footage of the suspect on her property. Later in the shift, he was taken into custody by CSU in Chattanooga on outstanding East Ridge warrants.
Night Shift May 30
25-005733 – 5700 BLK Ringgold Road – Shoplifting – Staff reported an unknown male, and female stole several items from the store. A witness stated the two individuals entered the business, loaded several items in a basket, then walked out without paying. The couple left in a dark color SUV with a documented GA plate. Police are working to obtain video of the incident along with a list of stolen items. Arrest warrants are pending identification of the two suspects.
25-005734 – 900 BLK S Seminole Drive– Disorder / Arrest – Police and Fire Department personnel responded to a smoke alarm at the apartments. Responders attempted to contact the residents of the apartment, but no one came to the door. Police forced entry into the apartment and found the suspect sitting in her bedroom and determined that she had intentionally set off the alarm for no legitimate purpose. This is a recurring issue with the resident. Police arrested her and charged her with False Reporting and Disorderly Conduct.
25-005738 – 1000 BLK S. Seminole Drive – Theft – The victim reported a Husky zero-turn lawnmower, and a Billy Goat vacuum were stolen from a garage at this address. He stated the last time he saw the equipment was the previous evening after work. The incident is currently under investigation and no suspects have been identified.
25-005758 – 1000 BLK Spring Creek Road – Motor Vehicle Crash / Arrest – Police located a white Honda Civic with front end damage in front of Spring Creek Elementary School. Officers located the driver near the vehicle and identified him. Police determined he was heavily intoxicated, and he was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.
Day Shift May 31
25-005760- 1300 BLK St. Thomas St.- Miscellaneous- Police called a resident of the housing at his request. The resident advised his neighbor was doing drugs. The resident stated that his neighbor continued to harass him. The resident could not provide any specifics regarding the harassment but did advise his neighbor needed to go to jail. The resident was asked to get in contact with the housing director.
Night Shift May 31
25-005781 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft – Police responded to the Exxon gas station for a reported Theft. It was determined that an unknown juvenile entered the business and stole several tobacco and CBD products. The suspect then fled on foot toward Choate Road. Police checked the area but did not locate the male suspect. Juvenile attachments will be sought pending identification.
25-005782 – I-24 Westbound, MM 184 – Assist Other Agency / Serious Injury Crash – East Ridge Police responded to the report of a serious motorcycle crash on I-24 Westbound. Officers located the injured person lying between the Interstate and North Terrace in Chattanooga. The East Ridge Fire Department responded and provided immediate medical aid until EMS arrived. The injured rider was then transported to Erlanger Hospital. Chattanooga Police responded and completed a crash investigation with ERPD assistance.
25-005784 – 400 BLK S. Howell Avenue – Traffic Stop / Narcotics Violation / Arrest – Police stopped a gold Toyota Camry for a registration violation and found the front passenger had an unsecured juvenile in her lap. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed 6 grams of suspected Ecstasy, 10 grams of marijuana, a small amount of suspected cocaine, and drug paraphernalia. The suspect was arrested and charged with Possession of Schedule I, Possession of Schedule II, Simple Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Child Endangerment.
25-005789 – 4200 BLK Greenbriar Road – Disorder – Police responded to a Disorder and observed three males fighting in the front yard of a residence. One male fled from the area while screaming at police. The other two individuals remained in the yard and complied with lawful commands. Officers determined all three subjects were intoxicated and no injuries were observed. The two remaining individuals were escorted home. Arrest warrants for the drunken runner were secured on the charges of Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Stop, Halt, Frisk.
25-005791 – I-24 Westbound, MM 185 – Assist Other Agency / Vehicle Fire – While checking for a suspicious person, Police observed a tractor trailer sitting on the interstate in Chattanooga with heavy smoke coming from the vehicle. Police assisted the truck driver in isolating the source of the fire and several Fire Department units responded to the location. Due to jurisdictional requirements, THP responded to inspect the damaged tractor trailer.
Day Shift June 1
25-005801 – 3400 BLK Gail Drive – Well Being Check – Police were called to a yard sale after a young mother asked residents for help. The mother had her 5 y/o son and 7-day old daughter with her. She told police she did not have anywhere to stay and needed help with her children. While police attempted to find suitable housing for her, she began to exhibit odd behavior; she would be calm and then angry. She said she did not feel safe around her children and made claims she had spiders on her. CPS was contacted and the woman was transported for an evaluation.
No Case Number – 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service – A man was served with three East Ridge warrants while in custody at the Hamilton County Jail for the following offenses: Burglary of an Auto x2 and Theft over $10,000 (Theft of Motor Vehicle).
Night Shift June 1
25-005789 – 4200 BLK Greenbriar Road – Warrant Service – Police located a man at his residence and took him into custody for two active arrest warrants through the City of East Ridge. The charges on the warrants were for disorderly conduct and evading arrest. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without issue.
25-005801 – 3400 BLK Gail Drive – Well Being Check / Update – The hospital released a woman earlier taken into protective custody and she was transported to the East Ridge Police Station to be re-united with her children. At the Police Station, her demeanor changed, and she demonstrated bizarre behavior to include random outbursts and removing all her clothes. She was placed into protective custody and transported to another hospital where she was admitted as a patient. A CPS case worker took temporary custody of her two children.
25-005813 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Rd – Traffic Stop / Evading Arrest – Police initiated a traffic stop with a silver sedan and the driver was identified. Officers discovered he had an active warrant through Florida for Burglary. An Officer attempted to apprehend him, but he was non-compliant resulting in a TASER deployment. The TASER proved ineffective, and the man fled on foot. Police established a perimeter but were unable to locate the suspect. ERPD is seeking additional warrants for Evading, Resisting Arrest, Driving without a License, and Financial Responsibility.
25-005816 – 400 BLK S. Howell Avenue – Domestic Assault – Police responded to a disorder with a weapon and found the suspect fled prior to the arrival of law enforcement. Officers located the victim and found she had minor injuries. She stated her boyfriend slapped her across the face, but no weapons were involved. Police are seeking an arrest warrant for on the charge of domestic assault.
Day Shift June 2
25-005816/Supplement – 400 BLK S Howell Ave – Agg Domestic Assault – The male half from the earlier incident came to ERPD to report a delayed domestic assault, at the above address, involving his ex-girlfriend/child’s mother. The incident occurred around 2300 hrs. A verbal argument that carried from inside the residence further escalated outside where the woman allegedly brandished a knife and attempted to stab him. Two adults intervened by holding the woman back. The man sustained minor lacerations to his face and hand that corroborated the allegations of the incident. A juvenile was standing in front of the man during the assault, placing him in immediate danger. Warrants pending further investigation from primary officers.
25-005835 1400 BLK Marlboro – Traffic Stop – Following a traffic stop, police took a man into custody on an East Ridge warrant for Criminal Simulation. He was transported to Hamilton Jail and Cited for Expired Registration and Driving on suspended license.
Night Shift June 2
25-005852 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder/Arrest – ERPD responded on a reported Disorder between a repossession agent and a vehicle owner. Officers determined that the vehicle owner was attempting to stop the agent from leaving the scene after he had already obtained the vehicle. The suspect refused all commands to stop hindering the free will to leave. When officers attempted to move her, she struck an officer in the face with a closed fist causing minor injuries. She was taken into custody a short time later and charged with False Imprisonment, Assault on Police, Resisting Arrest, and Disorderly Conduct.
